Rel can not make fun of me anymore.

Anyway, congrats on your New and Improved German grammar.

Technically, the 'k' should be capitalized as the intent would be to move it from adjective (which has no genderization) to nouns, which are capitalized.

Given that 'klug' is the base word, one could easily have passed it off as plural, represented by 'die' and the 'e' at the end of 'klug'.

I could also be wrong about some of the details here, my German is a little rusty. :)

I apologize for the raving. ;)

The original "Die Kluge" and the source of my name, is a German opera by Carl Orff. Essentially, the long title of the Opera is "Der Koenig und die Kluge" which roughly translates into "The King and the Clever Woman". I took "Die Kluge" to literally translate into "The Clever", which I guess it does - not knowing the "die" is feminine, and "der" is really what I wanted.

I originally chose this name because I was moving, and since I was going to lose my internet provider (a dial-up provider) my friend suggested getting a hotmail account, and I wanted something unique.

But, now I have rectified the situation. :)

I thought I knew you at first. Are you maybe the twin of someone I met before?

*This vote goes to 'change it back' :p

I mean with all the nonsensical reforms in orthography 'die kluge' will soon be just as correct as 'der Kluge'. Talk about arbitrary changes ...

So you wanted a name to show off how clever you are and you messed it up? There's a certain wonderful irony to that. :D

OK, Rel, you've officially been dared to come up with a new schtick to bother Curtis. I thought the thread in meta was bad enough, but this is like a big sign daring Rel to embarrass you.

Yea, there is a large amount of irony involved, that's certainly true. Not only was I not female, I also apparently wasn't very clever!

I didn't even notice until I saw this thread. I mostly know who's posting by avatar, and only check the name if the avatar is highly used, or if I don't recognize it.

Well Curtis, I guess there's no way you're coming to GenCon ladies night now. :)
