I got a look at it but didn't get a copy. The had a mistake on Thursday and put some out when they were't supposed to. Some lucky people bought them and got to keep them.

From my quick look through the book it looks really good. Once again lots of spells and it looks like even more prestiege classes. Magic items actually have creation prices. Looks like there was some stuff about Slacerian and their brand of "magic". Thats all I got from my quick look at it.

R&R 2 summary

Well R&R 2 was being sold at gencon. So I guess it is safe to talk now.

I don't have a copy on hand so it is remotely possible that this information is wrong since I am going purely off of memory. Please don't hold me to this.

The book is divided into several section, including the following.

It will have a section on the Astrology of Scarn. Covering the various constellations and cosmology of the world. There is also a large section on alchemy with many fun new things to create.

There are many fun new prestige classes inside, including a swamp necromancer and class that can call spirits into themselves. The second prestige class chooses from a number of animal templates that it may apply to itself.

I don't remeber much of the spells section except for a really cool coreanic spell that summoned a hammer and anvil to smash the casters enemies.

I mostly skipped oveer the magic item section, but I saw a magical lamp that you could melt stones in to produce heat and light. In addition a number of tattos have been added.

There is also a decent sized section of feats, including several very interesting ones for sorcerors. I also believe that there is an entire chapter on Psionics in the scarred lands.

Please keep in mind tha my memory could have failed me on some of this.

I bought the book and this information is accurate. The chapter on Psionics is small but very to the point. The new prestige classes, well, some are really cool and a few of them, astrologer included need the new Gazateer coming out. They are from Termana. Other than that, the copies they had at GenCon were hand bound, and mine their are now sheets that are loose in them. I was talking with Nightfall, telling him all that was in the book and page 175-179 just came loose, as if their glue didn't hold. I have emailed, SSS-Druid and hopefully SSS will be able to do something for me... Otherwise a great book. Did anyone else have the problem of loose pages?

Yeah shouit and myself had a nice chat about R&R2. I can honestly say, that while it might not have the broad appeal, I DO think some of the Pr-classes and the other interesting tidbits will surprise and delight. This book is for the fans of the Scarred Lands AND the for those that don't mind a little more "flavor" to their campaigns, especially regarding implimenting psionics and regular magics.

Btw shouit I wanted ask you but forgot, what the changes involved with Sorcerers and Druids? I mean is there an optional rule for alternates of these classes?

Nightfall,
I will have to check that. THere is something linking cabals, depending on what God your sorceror/wizards follows. You get bonunses based on different aspects of the god they follow. It depends on the alignment... an example is Corean. If you take the cabal feat and follow Corean you get bonuses with fire spells.. Is that what you are interested in, Nightfall?

Sort of shouit my friend. I was wondering if there was any bonus' and/or strange powers for a sorcerer/druid that follows one of the Titans (besides Denev I mean.)

I think I remmember their being some feats in here that give you special abilities based on the sorcerors magic. Whether it is a result of descent or some other special cause.

As far as druids go, Joe seems to be pretty committed to the concept of druids gaining their power from the curently predominante Titan. I don't remmeber seeing any druid specific feats but they might be in there. I think there is a really cool Mormo specific prestige class though.

Shouit mentioned that one to me. I was just wondering if there were feats or if just they were going do Pr-classes for each of the 12. But thanks for explaining some of that Jeff.
