Remnants of the Horde: In through the Back Way...

Bargo stands, face blacked, hair singed away from his mutilated ears, and looks around for who made the door blow up.

Furious at not finding someone he makes a truly, Bargo-esque swing at it.

OOC: Full Power Attack, Full Reckless Attack, Frenzied Attack, KILL THE DOOR!

Durgo winces but doesn't seem very effected by the door's pitiful trap. For the hundred and first time, he pats his golden, scaled armor smugly. Looking at Kurg, he sneers, "How come you so close!? No stand by door next time. Stupid dogman! Heal you'self so you no die.

"Bargo, hurry up wif door! Dem's up top shoulda broken in by now. Need to find shayman quick or Iron King rally 'gainst dem."

Feeling quite a bit singed...Forlash backs up a little and drinks down one of his healing liquids...

Bargo hacks and hacks, rendering the door into a twisted mass of useless iron and wood <the Iron merely covered the wood underneath>.

Kurg heals himself <22 HP>.

Forlash heals himself <15 HP> with the potion.

Beyond the door is a large chamber, measuring perhaps a hundred feet a side.
Durgo knew this place. He had been here once before: Upper Meeting Hall.
Across the chamber, tables and stone benches littered the floor, many overturned, some still set with food and papers, scrolls of maps pinned to table surfaces, tiny figures of troops spelled out across battlefields.

Nothing stirred in the chamber, save the sputtering of the Everburning Torches that were set every 20 feet upon the stone walls.
Three other doors, looking like the one that the party now looked through (less the loving attentions of Bargo...).

Durgo nods in satisfaction (although his visage never betrays anything but extreme impatience) at Bargo's progress and steps beyond the huffing Muragar and into the Upper Meeting Hall.

Shayman shayman shayman....where Durgo find shayman!? Hmm..dem's papers?

Striding forward, he investigates the maps in the hopes of finding one of this very Castle or any clue which may point him in the right direction of Zuregath's shayman. He figures one as powerful as Zuregath would have a powerful shayman...more powerful than Kurg anyway. He'll overturn tables, pop open scrollcases and generally make a bigger mess in the hopes of finding a lead.

"Hag-thing! Come and help Durgo look for shayman. You's uders keep eyes open and ears peeled! Mephits no touch papers."

Looks like a mess steadily becoming a larger one...does he always refer to himself in the 3rd person? Forlash enters the room, moving quickly out of the way of a chair the Ogre threw out of his way while looking for anything of use...Durgo....I would think that being a most powerful shaman...He would keep his quarters near the throne room of this keep...do you know how to get there from here...or any idea? but of course I will do my best to aid you in looking for maps of this castle but I would think that one does not keep maps of their castle in their castle...in case enemy would get in...hmmm?

Bargo thuds into the room looking murderously at the golden scales that once again protected Durgo while Bargo has the hair burned off of his head again. His face scrunches up suspiciously at his foul father as he begins overturning tables looking for something or other...

Durgo know door going to blow up in Bargo face. Durgo no want Bargo up front because Durgo know Bargo guud killer. Durgo just be sissy pretty Durgo since getting stoopid cape!

Bargo's thought process disintegrates into rages against how stupid an ogre looks with a little cloak coming to halfway down his back and drooling fantasy of Durgo's head on Elf Hewer lying in the corner while Bargo is trying on the gold armor for size.

Needless to say, he isn't asked to, nor would he be much help, searching for whatever ethereal clue his father expects to find.

OoC:Bump? I'm just waiting for sign that Velenne is still with us.

Seeing no obvious edge in the chaos of the chamber, Durgo now has a choice to follow...which door would lead to the chance to revive his Lord?

OOC: I check it every day! Thought we were gonna have to bump in your account. :p Just been waiting on the results of he and Forlash's search of the war room.

Durgo sends the table and all its contents spilling across the room. "No find nothing here." He hated not knowing where he was going, and he hated that none of his own soldiers knew the castle any better than he did. But of course, Durgo hated everything.

Rising to his full height, the Muragar scans the doors and simply chooses the one he happens to be most adjacent to as none seems any better a choice than another. He had been here before, but perhaps it had been too long. All the doors looked the same in Castle Zuregath.

OoC:Trying to get things back on track...

The door that Durgo opens leads to a short, broad hallway ending at a spira; staircase going deeper into the Mountain.

The remaining Muragar takes up a lead position with Bargo, his huge Axe ready for whatever enemies assail this most Holy of missions.
With Durgo behind, Forlash at his side (and Kurg just behind him), the group begins their descent. The Mephits flit about, streaking off and back, scouting the passageways for anything interesting.

It is perhaps a quarter of an hour later, with the group moving cautiously (for a bunch of Ogres, anyways...), that the staris give way once more to a tall and wide tunnel. Moving along once more, wonders never cease, as displayed by the fact that Bargo suddenly looks up quickly, holding up a massive hamfist in a sign of warning.
Bargo had distinctly heard something just around the bend in the tunnel. Something waiting in Ambush, perhaps...

<Distance to the corner is 30 feet...tunnel is curving slightly, and anyone moving up could probably see whatever it is n about 15 feet from the current position>
