renau1g's Thunderspire Labyrinth

The rogue's eyes dart about as the flash of color flies around him, and the grow wide when it produces a knife and stabs the remaining hobgoblin. As it drops, Saphalaxis jumps back slightly... and he's doubly surprised when a halfling climbs up onto the table and sticks his hand out for a handshake.

Saph looks at the other members of his group and pauses for a second, then slowly extends his hand as well... grasping the halfling and shaking. "Uh... you're welcome. Glad we could... uh... help. I guess."

He releases the halfling's hand, and wanders back over to where Vio stands, not getting involved in the tete-a-tete between the halfling and the other two dragonborn.

Patresh looks around, making sure all of their enemies are down, and then turns to the newly discovered halfling. Greetings, master Halfmoon. I am Patresh, and these are my companions Sargil, Vio, Yanwer, and Saph, whom you've already met. It is our pleasure, and honor, to have been of assistance to you. It does beg the question of how you came to be in such dire circumstances, however.

"A fair question, those hobgoblins grabbed me a few hours ago. I was tailing them 'cause they were hanging around my family's inn and they looked suspicious. I wanted to figure out what they were up to, but they caught me." Rendil says excitededly.

Sargil cleans his sword on one the hobgoblin caster's clothes and sheathes it, then gives a nod towards the halfling. "A pleasure, Rendil. I am Sargil." Then the paladin nods at Patresh and starts searching the bodies of the dead hobgoblins. As he's searching, he asks Rendil, "Would these hobgoblins been part of the Blood Reavers, by any chance?"

"Yeah, those", he says, gesturing to the bodies "are, or were, members of the Bloodreavers. A lot more of them are around, they hang out in the Chamber of the Eyes. Filthy muckeaters all of 'em. Why are you looking for them?" the halfling asks.

Vio steps back and nods at the halfling. He looks around the room where the halfling darted from, looking for any sort of clues that might give them a lead. Finally the Eladrin speaks, "Did they say what they were going to do with you? Perhaps speaking to your family would help us gain information to why they would be snooping around. In the very least it would be a place to stay."

Patresh eyes the halfling with an appraising eye before answering him. We have reason to believe they might be enslaving innocent people, on top of other, similar, crimes. He pauses as he keeps an eye on the others' efforts. Is there anything else you can tell us, having followed them and then been their captive? What do you know of this Chamber of the Eyes?

His spinning milk white orb slows as the battle ebs. Yanwer looks as surprised by everyone else to see the halfling. He cocks his head and watches the discussion.

"What they were going to do with me? Why, what slavers always do, of course, sell me off. Thank Yondalla you arrived" Rendil says, "Yes, if you come to my place, I can buy you a drink, and even give you a place to rest, you must be tired after such a battle."

No, you haven't heard of the Chamber of Eyes, your initial destination was the Seven-Pillared Hall

"I haven't followed them long, but that lout kept talking about taking me to the Chamber of Eyes, I ain't heard of it, but maybe Vadriar would know? He's a sage-type, hangs around the tavern a bunch. They also kept bragging about a deal they got in the works, but nothing more, sorry" The halfling replies, somewhat sheepishly, as if embarrased he couldn't provide more.

Sargil stands up to his full height. "Very well, lead on, brave halfling. If this Vadriar can help us find the rest of these filthy overgrown goblins, I'd very much like to meet him," the paladin says with a grin and a dangerous looking glint in his eye.

As an afterthough, he adds, "Oh, are we going to the Seven-Pillared Hall? I think that's where we were headed before we met you."

[sblock=OOC]I'm assuming we didn't find anything interesting or useful on the hobgoblins?[/sblock]

Saphalaxis had been leaning against the wall looking down and cleaning his fingernails as the tete-a-tete went on, but it was these words the halfling said that catch the rogue's attention. Immediately his ears prick up, and he stands forward eagerly. "Buy us a drink? Absolutely! Smashing idea! Let's go!" He then turns to start walking out the door, not even waiting to see if anyone else is coming along.

While the others discuss plans, Vio bends over the body of one of the hobgoblins. He pulls a small glass vial out from a pocket in his robes and uncorks it. With an expert's precision, he uses his longsword to cut a long narrow gash in the creatures arm. As the blood wells up from the wound, the Eladrin funnels it into his vial. He gives the vial an appraising look, swishing the liquid within around. Satisfied, he recorks the vial, and stuff it back into his robe. Seeing his bodyguard leaving, Vio resheathes his blade and follows the dragonborn.

The group sets out after looking over the bodies and finding nothing of usefulness, with the exception of Vio's vial. Following the path for another 20 minutes or so you finally reach the end of the Hallway of Lanterns and come upon a large cavern, with a multitude of creatures milling about.

There are creatures from all races here, humans, dwarves, gnomes, and even a drow are visible wandering around the area.

In addition to the buildings speckled throughout the area, in the eastern part of the hall on a large stone platform stands a 10-foot wide, 30-foot tall statue of a minotaur. (#14)

#10 on the map is the Halfmoon Inn, and where Rendil will lead you. If you have any questions about the places or are looking for anything in particular just ask Rendil.
I'll post an update tomorrow at the inn, allowing you to ask any questions about the area
