Ready-set-go!

Note: My own list so far:
- EWP (bastard sword)
- Weap focus (bastard sword)
- PA
- Cleave
- Sacred Vengence: burn a turn to do +2d6 damage to undead creatures for 1 round (Libris Mortis)
- Spurn Death's Touch: burn a turn to remove ability damage, paralysis, and negative levels (Libris Mortis)
- Vampire Hunter: you're immune to vampire's dominate ability, can sense (not locate) vampire w/in 30' as move action (Libris Mortis)

edit: added from suggestions below:
- Divine Vigor: burn a turn to gain +10 movement and 2 temp HP/level for minutes/Cha bonus (Complete Warrior)

There were some nice smite-based feats in Book of Exalted Deeds. Some of them gave you some goodies against undeads too. Can't remember too well and I'm not with my books right now.

Clarification: Sorry I wasn't more specific, but I'd like to avoid BoED (and other 3.0 stuff) if possible. Thank you though!

The thing is, BoED is actually 3.5 book. It is generally thought to be 3.0 since BoVD is 3.0 but it really is 3.5 ;) . Just thought to correct if that was your only reason avoiding it. I kind of guess that it isn't though :uhoh: .

Waste of a feat. Just focus on Greatsword if you're going two-handed, Longsword if you're taking a shield ... but you don't have enough feats to make Shield work, so don't bother. Go Greatsword.

Good, good.

I like Spurn Death's Touch.

Divine Might is better than Sacred Vengence in many situations (and useful in many more situations).

Divine Vigor is awesome.

IIRC, BoED is in fact 3.5. . . FWIW.

Divine Vigor (from CW) is a personal fave: temp. HP + speed increase (for several minutes) is always nice. :)

edit --- oops, got caught up with other things mid-post, and look where that got me. :D

As a matter of interest, how about dropping two levels of Paladin and taking two levels of Knight? Kt 2 / Pal 4 is a good mix, and you've still got the Turn attempts.

Of your feats, I'd go for Spurn Death's Touch, Power Attack, and Cleave. Being both a paladin and a knight, your saves are going to be very good. I don't like the 1 / day feats, so I'd suggest something like Shock Trooper instead.

How far are you taking this character? I'm thinking that you might want to end up something like Pal 4 / Kt 4 / Ftr 2 / DC 10

The feat in complete champion that lets you cast paladin spells as swift actions starts to look okay at 6th and great at 9th.
