Carvon again promises great wealth if you do a good job and wishes you luck and speed. Jamon gathers his things and without any fanfare you set out.

Jamon is quiet as you walk but will answer any questions if asked. As you walk along you observe the farmlands around you near the keep and near the road they are common, well maintained and small farmhouses dot the landscape. But grow more spare as you travel. You see the hill grow in the distance before you, and the tangled web of the Dark Wood behind it.

The plains are more overgrown less kept as you approaches the hill. After a long days worth of walking, sometime mid afternoon still a mile or 2 from the monastery Abney and Mace spot a hulking figure walking away from the monastery approaching you but still a good hundred yards away.

A figure ahead. Stay here, but stay ready. Mace, let us go find out what this figure is. Abhay whispered. He slips into the brush, moving as silently as he can and hiding himself to the best of his ability. Just in case, he notches an arrow into his bow.
