RGA1 - Daylight Robbery (Salix? Judging)

Ms Green is dressed smartly, although perhaps a bit too showy for work. "Ah my brave knight is here." She smiles as Paladin arrives.

"Since you are new in town I will forgive you for not booking us anywhere. There is a nice little place I know in Covent Garden. If you would like to escort me."
She says, offering her arm to the hero.

As the two make the short walk to the restaurant, Ms Green probes for stories about Paladin's life as a resolute and his previous adventures.
Paladin chats with Ms. Green as they walk, "Forsooth, there is not yet much to tell of my adventures with the Resolutes. You were a part of the first mission we were on and your help was invaluable in our eventual capture of the villain Relic. Though I did have to hack my way through several of his undead abominations before that ending was reached." He continues chatting with her as they head towards the restaraunt...

"Oh My" simpers Ms Green "I do hope there are not too many scars under that armour"

The pair soon arrive at the restaurant, a small but smart place serving new European food well hidden down some concrete steps. The maitre de is quickly out to greet the two and looks to waving at his staff to get a fresh table ready, pronto.

"Good day and welcome, sir, madam." He says, his accent a strange mix between french and estuary "It is a real honour that you have chosen to grace our restaurant, although perhaps a I could prevail on you to leave the sword behind the bar. We would not want to worry the other patrons."

JOURNEY NORTH

The heroes are able to subtly disable their tails car and are soon on the road again. As they leave the other driver appears furious beating on his steering wheel while his passenger is much calmer already dialing on her mobile phone.

The rest of the journey passes without incident, no one spots anything else suspicious, and a few hours later the party arrive in the northern city of Leeds. Akbar's shop is on a pedestrianised street and on street parking is hard to find although there are several multi-story car parks scattered around the city center.

[sblock=OOC]I want to move the action on and the tail was never meant to be a big complication. There are several methods to disable the car without getting spotted, Flux can use extra effort and then recover during the rest of the journey, or some one could sneak over while invisible, or ...

I'm not going to charge VS a hero point for the inspiration. That kind of thing is more a matter of getting used to my style than in game inspiration I think.[/sblock]

With one eyebrow raised at the maitre de, Paladin glares somewhat before speaking, "The only worry your patrons need have is if some evil attacks this place and my sword is not at my side to defend them with. Perhaps you could instead find us a table with more privacy so that your patrons shall not be alarmed?"

IN LONDON

The man's eyes avoid Paladin's stare but he continues apologetically. "Sir you misunderstand. The other patrons will not fear you, of course they will not, they will be honoured you are here. But we are a fine dinning establishment, evil will not attack here. But if others see you with your sword today they will think protection is needed. Maybe tomorow when you are not here they will be afraid. If you just leave your sword here, they will know there is no danger and that you are just here for the fine food. You will be able to see it at all times and I swear no one will even touch it."

Not bothering much with the parking, Sergeant find a paying lot and park it there. "Martin, Clay, I want you two to walk around here. I want to get familiar with the area in case the action will be here. Also, looks if someone else havn't followed us. Governement generally have more than one man following someone. The work in team, so someone could have taken the charge of following us after we left our friend at the coffee."

Sergeant open the door and stretch his legs from the long ride. "My bones start to feel the burden of ages... Flux, you will come with me. We will pretend to be a couple and I want to buy you a jewel for a jet-set night we will have in a week in Paris. I'll do the talking and we will try to have him in private, from there, we will reveal ourselves to him. I don't want customers to overhear us. I'll also need you to scan for an microphone that could have been hidden in the shop, if they have discoevred the jewel emplacement, most probably, the would like to listen to him.

Does all sounds good to you all, or have I forgot something?"

With a troubled brow, Paladin grimaces. Only his desire to not cause a further scene in front of Ms. Green keeps him from turning and walking out the door. With a deep sigh, he finally gives up. His eyes drop and he slowly begins unbuckling his belt to slide off the sword and scabbard. Holding it out to the man with a barely noticable shaking of his hand, Paladin releases his grasp on the weapon. Removing his helmet to tuck under his left arm, he asks the man, "NOW, may we be seated?" Flourishing with his right hand to indicate Ms. Green should preceed him to the table, he says kindly to her "After you, milady."

The Maitre de takes the sword belt somewhat gingerly. He looks to be scared even to handle such a thing, and he has soon deposited it in a safe place behind the bar.

Paladin and Ms Green are quickly shown to a pristine table for two, nicely positioned away from prying ears. The waiter produces menus with a flourish and asks "Can I get you anything to drink, on the house of course?"

"I will take a gin and tonic" Says Ms Green smiling broadly at Paladin, obviously happy that the discusion at the door came to nothing.

ooc- Take one HP and free drinks. Probably a good time to ask Ms Green any questions Paladin might have or fast forward through a pleasant lunch. Equally I am happy to play it out as I think the others are somewhat behind.

"Very well" says Clay. He keeps a com handy and goes out for a walk.

IN LEEDS

Clay and Martin slowly meander through around, passing the front of Akbar's shop several times. They are soon familiar with the area, Akbar's is on the edge of a busy shopping district, filled with people rushing hither and thither, most of it is pedestrianised during the day although delivery vehicles are allowed before six in the morning. Outside the plush central zone the area becomes slightly seedier and run down. The road system is confused with many one way streets and, to American eyes, complicated by the lack of a discernable pattern to the city layout. The railway station is nearby and the line blocks traffic further as there are only a few under passes.

The pair do not spot anyone atempting to follow them, nor does anyone pay much attention to their presence.

OOC - I am assuming that Martin will just go along with the suggestion for now.

Sergeant walks to Akbar shop with Flux. As he approach the door, he adds for her. "We'll be shopping for a ring. Search for any electronic surveillance device, like camera and microphone. If you detect anything, asks for some earring too. If not, asks for a necklace." He arrives at Akbar's door and open the door for Flux.
