101 things every Adventurer should do and know

Always follow SOP, even if in an Inn ye be.

Sometimes, for his own good, you have to lie to the Paladin.

Never send any sort of Demi-Human into a bar for a short errand.

If the thief wants to do it, let him do it, better you be watching his back then he be watching yours.

If the cleric wants to stop and pray, you let the cleric stop and pray.

Never ever leave home without rope, a flagon of alchemist's fire, and blessed crossbow.

Develop a doppleganger test.
 

Detect Magic is your bestest friend.

If you can't see it, it doesn't mean it's not trying to kill you.

There is no such thing as overkill.

If it looks like an orc, talks like an orc, and unfortunately smells like an orc... kill it.
 


Be nice to party members. Chances are good it's them who you will depend on to pry you out of prison.

Don't trust people with long, draconic names.

Friendly fire isn't.

If you lead an organization, make sure they have top notch security and never hire anyone or let anyone it they haven't checked thoroughly. This counts twice if you have any world-threatening artifacts in the basement.
