The night passes uneventfully, thankfully after the draining battles with the deadly fey the day before.

[sblock=Ikni]
As you stand watch and focus on the blade you hear the wind pick up and blow heavily around you. The earth rumbles slightly as you hold the blade, but if anybody else notices they don't make it known. The light of the sunblade begins to dim and fade in the growing darkness and now the wind carries whispers on it. You hear the voices and they speak of decay and death, as if the very Feywild has been corrupted in this area. The blade's light finally fails and it looks like basic cold steel in your hands for a few moments. Suddenly, you feel an energy flowing through you from the ground and into your hands. Slowly a glimmer returns to the blade, not the soft radiant glow it previously had, but rather a sickly green colour. That colour too disappears, but as it does a few drops of green fall from the blade and leave scorch marks in the earth where they hit. With your connection to the blade you can tell that it carries a new deadly effect. It is no longer an undead hunting blade, but rather will cause lasting burns on its foes.

The party has a light breakfast and packs up their gear before continuing on, following the rather suspect directions given to them by their former prisoner, the group continues through the wilds.

Can you please list marching order? Also, I'll need perception scores (if you're actively looking, else I can use passive ones)
[/sblock]

ooc: If we're talking about being prepared for an ambush, we probably want defenders fore and aft, something like: Ikni, Haruka, Derien, Ironheart. On the other hand, Derien has a ridiculously high passive perception of 22, low-light vision, and is an elf, with racial bonuses to woodland travel. Besides, Ironheart is brooding, and Ikni is more of a follower than a leader at this point. Perhaps Derien, Ikni, Haruka, Ironheart, with Ikni ready to jump out in front at the first sign of danger?

[sblock=ooc]Oh dear, is Haruka the most motivated character of the group?

I think the most optimal order would be Ironheart, Haruka, Derien, Ikni (maybe Haruka is prodding Ironheart to keep him moving). I mean, how much is standing back a few paces going to hurt Derien's perception? I don't really care too much one way or another though.

I got a 19 for Perception.[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Yeah, Ironheart's a woodsy type. Let him stand in front. I can do my job just as well surrounded by defenders, honest :)

Perception: 25[/sblock]

The group is walking, with Ironheart in the lead, through the wilds. A creature steps out of the forest ahead of you, hold his hand up to stop you. The humanoid creature has the torso of a man, but the bottom half of a goat. Horns protrude from his head and he carries a pipe around his neck. Next to him is a horse-like creature, white dirty-white hair and a large horn on its forehead. On the other side is creature that seems like a distant cousin to the pig, but nearly as large as the horse, with two large large tusks sprouting from its mouth.

The humanoid speaks up, "Good day my friends, you appear to have stumbled across my domain. The whispering winds carried to me a rumour as to what a group of mortals is doing here in the Feywild. You are looking for the Ring are you not? Hmmm....looking for the Lady of Nightmares aren't you? I doubt you can reach her without my help. She is notoriously difficult to find even if you know where to look. I will make you an offer. I have not had a good sport in some time and wish to spar with some worthy challengers. If you can defeat us, I will lead you to her location. What say you?" the creature says gaily.

[sblock=Arcana DC 15]
The humanoid is a Satyr:

Most of the time, satyrs put on a genial manner and seem friendly. They give the impression of being shy and cowardly rogues, interested chiefly in wine, sport, music, and love. However, they have a dark side and fall into extremely
violent moods, attacking mortals with the intent to kill and rob them.

[sblock=Nature DC15]
The horse-like creature is a unicorn, their horns are reputed to have magical healing properties. The pig-like creature is a Dire Boar:
Dire boars are omnivores that roam wild in many landscapes, but sometimes humanoids domesticate them for use in battle. Domesticating a dire boar is difficult, and they remain fierce and dangerous even to their trainers.

[sblock=Derien]
You see, just off the path, a gnome with his feet tied together with rope, he carries a rather odd device around his person, it seems like a cross between a lute that's been cranked up. He wears leather armor.

[sblock=Rhole]
You were ordered by the Satyr to wait in the forest, he warned you he'd let the Dire Boar eat you alive if you ran. You know that there is the Satyr, a twisted Unicorn, and the aforementioned Boar around. You see the others walking.

"Well, there are plenty of fey around here who would engage me in a game or puzzle, so perhaps a physical spar? Not to the death of course, for that would be madness on both our parts, I do not desire to die today and I'm sure neither do you" the creature says.

[sblock=OOC]
Very interesting rolls THB. The picture was difficult to find of a non-silly looking satyr.

"If you choose to fight, we cannot prevent you. But we will defend ourselves," states Ikni, calmly drawing her sword, but making no move to attack. "We would rather face you in honorable combat for sport than in a battle to the death."

ooc: IC is down again; +9 arcana and +3 nature please.
