(OOC) The Dog Days of Doom

Hey @TaranTheWanderer!

Have a safe trip! I loved the game. I wanted to try something new and played a kid, and I enjoyed every bit of the favor you built around it (Benny as the sacrificial ritual victim was absolute gold!).

Not that it matters, but weren't we level 3, so we're leveling to 5? ;-)
Hey, safe travels, and I hope I'll get a chance to play a grown up Benny!
Cheers,

SG

Well, I was going to level you to 4th when you went to the final crypt but there was no natural “resting” point. That, and you were doing fine with the level you were at.

The adventure lets you tune the adventure for PCs 3 to 5th. After you fought the spiders, I cranked the difficulty to 5th and you guys cruised through it fine so I didn’t think you needed to level.

If we start again, 5th is roughly where I want you. I could start you at 4th and do a quick level up.

Before I commit to running anything, I need to see how my fall activities line up. Posting every day was tricky so we wouldn’t do that but, despite that, it’s a bit of work. Im amazed @FitzTheRuke runs as many games as he does.

5th is fine. That would avoid a levelling pause. Makes more sense to me to just start there and wait a little bit longer.

And it's totally fine to run the next one at a slower pace!

You don't have to worry (at least from my side) that you'll make me hate you personally or be insulted as long as we're in character.

Not that I'd get insulted anyhow, we don't know each other 😜

You played her well as proven by hate/dislike she garnered. Her farewell feelings for Havoc were returned fully, except she's already a fiend so...may your death days be spent in a sunny meadow where elves sing and dance and talk philosophy until you hate them. And then repeat.

You did well, both in quick decisions and keeping the pace and tension.

I'd add, if I were running it, few indicators that time is running out, tremors, lightning, maybe undead getting stronger or HD or HP drains gated behind escalating saves...

Minor quibble was giving away solutions/offering steps to resolve things, but that was time saving that enabled u to rush throught this. Feel free to continue in a world wrecked by Kyuss (100% would play again)

@TaranTheWanderer, I think you should take a break, then start us up again at Level Four, and level us after a few "sessions worth of material". It gives us a natural progression, and like you say above, we're doing fine. I'd be happy to play on, and I'd be happy with a pace of 2-3 posts a week (my ideal PBP speed, when I can manage it, and have players who are cooperating!)

I agree, except the level 4 part. Mainly because I already updated to level 5 and I hate doing additional work.

And really, it's all about me, right? ;)
