Ripping apart the ELH...

Penetrate DR can only be taken once. I got the book right here just to make sure there is no confusion.

Improved Ki Strike "adds +1 to the effective enhancement bonus of your unarmed attacks".

I posted this one a couple of days ago.

Pg 37 Optional Rule: Exceptional Followers

It says in the text that a adept or aristocrat counts as 2 levels higher than there true character level, and a follower with a PC class counts as 3 levels higher.

But in the example on the same page is shows an adept or aristocrat at 1 level higher and a PC class as 2 levels higher.

They got it right for prestige classes (5 levels higher).

I do not agree Mac. I said it on the White Wolf boards and I'll say it here. My money is VERY hard for me to come by. $40.00 is almost 5 hours I had to work for that book. It happens too often and is unresanble, than I stop buying. It happen to white wolf, it'll happen to WOTC too. I understand mistakes, but come on look at the big lists being put up.I will say this for them though. One has to look for the mistakes to find them. In white wolf the mistakes bitch slap you in the face.

Pg. 87: the cost to develop the epic spell, "Superb Dispelling" is entirely too high. It's listed as 3,771,000 gp and 143,640 xp. By my reckoning it should weigh in at 531,000 gp and 21,240 xp.

Pg. 62: The "Master Staff" feat makes reference to wands. The text seems to have been copied from the "Master Wand" feat and left unchanged.

where in the hell did they come up with that number...its not even right if they figured it b4 mitigating factors...:(

Here is another small error.

Pg 246 Typical Regulator Encounter

They have a human wiz20 and a gnome rog5 is a EL 25. It should be EL 20.

Also for some reason the typical godkissed party does not have a El listed. (It should be 23)

There is also a typo on page 247. It says that a Union Sentinel Sergeant (Fighter 21/Union Sentinel 2) is CR 2.

I'm sure my players will love it when I let their low level characters fight him. ;)

The books says that BAB and Epic Level bonuis to attack stack for prerequites. So, this is not an error, just confusing.

Actually the text only states that BAB and Epic Attack Bonus stack for the purpose of qualifying for feats. No mention of qualifying for classes. Also, no mention of them stacking for determing the bonuses obtained from feats, so that the Improved Manyshot feat offers nothing beyond what you get for Manyshot.

I suspect that they were being paranoid, trying to limit as much as possible the instances where BAB and Epic Attack Bonus stack, when in fact all that they really wanted and needed to exclude was them stacking for purposes of determining base number of attacks per round.

The other thing I found is that the epic spell Epic Spell Reflection has a DC that is off by about 700. If you follow the procedure as listed in the spell description, which looks exactly right, you come up with a DC of 768, not the listed DC of 68.

And, of course, I found most of the bugs other people found. I have to agree with those who say that the ELH was really sloppily done. The content, on the other hand, is mostly to my liking.

Aye, I found that one too. If you look at one of the other spells, one of the ones with REALLY big DCs, you will see that they managed to cut and paste that spell's costs into the Superb Dispelling description. If I had my ELH handy, I could tell you exactly which spell's costs got inserted.
