D&D 5E Rise of Tiamat hardcover goes for big money

Also, what people list things for on eBay is not what they are actually selling for, in most cases.
This.

There’s a way to look up recent sales data for specific items on eBay but I can’t remember where it’s located. I’ll see if I can find it when I get home (unless someone else here knows.)

If you're logged in you can go to the left side, a bit low down, and choose "sold items". It looks like some have gone for more, but several have been in the $70s recently.

I thought the collected book was an in store exclusive, aren't those short print runs anyway? I can't find it on Amazon from WotC anyway.

Also Rise is over $100 on Amazon too, looks like all third party sellers. I.e. can't click "buy" on WotC's page for it.

Lol, I got mine for $14. It's the only reason that I purchased it. Maybe I should sell it on eBay.

Must be recently OOP. We've had it in stock since it came out. I admit, I haven't tried to get one in a couple of weeks or more. Maybe it's gone now. I hear the Starter and the Essentials boxes will not be long available, either.
By you've had it in stock, for you.mean the same copies, or has it actually moved well? It gets ragged on a lot, for deserved reasona...but it had some legs from what I can see, and we had fun with it.

Oh no, we sell them all the time and have no trouble restocking. I sold both relatively recently. I'll have to check if we were able to restock it.

I actually think that Saltmarsh was the only one where we didn't go through our original order (we have done so by now, though). Haven't run out of Radiant Citadel or Spelljammer yet, either, but I still consider them in their early days.

I ran Horde in the beginning of 5e and had no trouble with it, but yeah, I can see where people had problems with it. I only ran part of Rise before we moved onto other adventures. (They come out just slightly too fast to play all of them!)

That's so wild wild: Tyranny of Dragons had a longer shelf life than some entire games or editions, and that's with being considered near the bottom of the pack for 5E books!

Yes, that's very true. 5e is also the only edition that I remember that all the books were in-print available for this long. At least, adventure-wise. I have often found it shocking how often we turn over the earlier 5e adventures. It's never been like this before.

Certainly goes to explain why theybwant it to be clear that these Adventures will still work for OneD&D!

The targeted thematic nature of the Adventures, and the attractive hardcover format, probably go a ways to explain it. If you want to run a game with a bunch of Giants...Sky King's Thunder still has you covered. Or the Underdark in Oit of the Abyss, or dragons in Tyranny of Dragons. The themes still appeal.
