D&D 5E Rise of Tiamat hardcover goes for big money

I actually think that Saltmarsh was the only one where we didn't go through our original order (we have done so by now, though). Haven't run out of Radiant Citadel or Spelljammer yet, either, but I still consider them in their early days.
I wonder if this was local to your store or a generalized trend. I quite enjoyed the book (though it's not perfect), but I've got a strong pro-Greyhawk bias...

Certainly goes to explain why theybwant it to be clear that these Adventures will still work for OneD&D!

The targeted thematic nature of the Adventures, and the attractive hardcover format, probably go a ways to explain it. If you want to run a game with a bunch of Giants...Sky King's Thunder still has you covered. Or the Underdark in Oit of the Abyss, or dragons in Tyranny of Dragons. The themes still appeal.
I often find a lot of issues with WotC's adventures, but I can still mine them for a ton of usable content.

Yes, that's very true. 5e is also the only edition that I remember that all the books were in-print available for this long. At least, adventure-wise. I have often found it shocking how often we turn over the earlier 5e adventures. It's never been like this before.

The hardcover adventures being made legal for use in Adventurer's League play has probably helped keep a higher interest in the earlier releases than normally would have happened.

I think it was entirely due to the store exclusive cover not being quite as cool as they normally are. Usually we burn through those quickly and then can only get the regular cover. I'd have to look, but I don't think we sold less Saltmarsh overall than other adventures. At least not by much.

I'll admit that Saltmarsh is one of the few books, with an Alt Cover, where the Default one seemed a lot better. The Saughain alt cover is okay. But there are plenty of better alt covers compared to that one.

Does anyone know if Volo's and Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes are also now out of print, since they've been de-listed on DNDBeyond?
