Who's moniker? Mine? Henry?

Hmmm. Well, let's see... The subject header of my post said, and I quote, "To: Corwin the Confused"

And then there is the (should be obvious) connection between my name and the one he is using. But then, maybe that's just me. ;)

Ah, missed his addition, there.

Color me ignorant, but I'm have no idea what correlation Henry and Corwin have. Is this a Henry VIII thing?

Yes you can rage and sneak attack. As mentioned earlier in the thread, there is a very specific list of feats and skills that cannot be used. Expertise cannot be used while rageing, yet you can still do disarm or improved trip. So you can still sneak attack a person.

Sneak attack is for when the person looses the dex bonus, you simply know hot to hit them when they leave them self's open. It isn't like 2nd edition rules anymore.

Is this a ploy to get your Post Count up? ;)

I have no idea why you mention Henry. At all. I was never taking to Henry. I was addressing Corwin the Confused. You know... the guy who started this thread and has been actively responding in it. The guy who uses "my" name and added the "the Confused" part. You know... that guy.

I'm kinda sorry, now, that I wasted everyone's time posting in the first place. I didn't intend to derail the thread or become a distraction. I just thought it was funny that this new guy is using "Corwin the Confused". I was thinking some people may think that was me, so I commented about it. That was all.

"We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread..."

Henry puts his head on the table, covers his face, and hisses loudly. If it's laughter or tears, or probably both, you can't tell...

I got a question for you.

Why is it there's no preventing a barbarian, while raging, from using a bow? Wouldn't using a Bow take some patience and concentrate on where you're aiming, then firing?

Sure, by the stats, it wouldn't help him one lick of a bit with damage or hitting, but he could do it.

That's not necessarily true. It would depend on the strength rating of the bow (assuming it has one). Heck, if I were playing a barbarian, I'd make sure my bow was a few strength bonuses higher than my normal strength for that very reason. Why wouldn't you want to?

Examples of bashing type feats...
Disarm = Bash weapon from hand
Impr. Trip = Bash person to ground + Bash more (+4 prone)!
Cleave = BASH
Great cleave = BASH
Dodge = not get bashed
Spring attack = Move BASH move, or bash move, ect...

Besides back stab is not a feat or a typical skill.

A person in a "blind rage" will not think... "Oh my look there's a week spot in the back of his/her armour by his/her lung on the left side". Not if you're playing as the class should be played. If you want a tactical front line melee class pick a fighter or a monk. The Sage, one of the games designers, has said that it can't, or shouldn't be done. (I don't know for sure which) Either way his response is in the negative for a Barbarian to rage & Back Stab.

What am I fighting this for, call it a house rule and smack down your way to happiness. Half-fiend, half-dragon,litch,storm giant,were-bear,back stabbing, raging, Barbarian, thief... from Thay Your DM will love you! :D :D :D :D

That was my point. He's not thinking about it. He's just trained himself to always strike at the weak spots. It's a reflex. Every attack he does is charged with Sneak Attack potential, this is evidenced by the fact that the determining factor on wether an attack is SA or not is the way the defending person is fighting. You don't declare that your character is trying to SA, he's always trying to do so because it's just the way he fights. Your attacks just don't get to do SA damage if the defender is able to fully focus his defenses on you.
