Rogues - what do you do against undead and constructs?

welby

First Post
I'm playing a 6th level rogue and currently find myself and my party in a necropolis of sorts. While not normally a big deal, I'm the party's main source of damage. We have a sorc/rog who is all but useless, a rent-a-tank who we found outside w/o any gear, myself, and a healbot.

I'm also small sized and using daggers, so my damage is just pathetic w/o my sneak attack.

So what's a rogue to do in this situation?

Golembane scarab and scrolls of searing light.

EDIT: IDIOT! Rogues can't read scrolls, can they? Forget I said that. My rogues never carry them. For undead, my rogues go for max-enchanted weapons and fighter feats. I kill 'em to death!

EDIT EDIT: No, no... they can! DC 20 + Caster Level.

There's an alternate class feature in the PHB2 that I think lets you penalize the foe's AC in lieu of sneak attack, but you give up something in return. There are feats in either complete adventurer or complete warrior that let you sneak attack undead. I could be wrong on the books, but there's definitely feats out there. Outside of that, I suggest maxing out your Use Magic Device and picking up a wand of magic missiles.

Wand of Grave Strike, Wand of Golem Strike, from Complete Adventurer. Grave Strike (Clr 1) allows you to SA undead for one round, while Golem Strike (Sor/Wiz 1) allows you to SA constructs.

Holding a wand in one hand means you can't use two-weapon fighting.

There are some nice magic items in MIC for this, as someone pointed out. Otherwise, RUN AWAY, RUN AWAY! ;)
