Strangely enough, while much of the metal seems to have been “blown out” consistently with fuel exploding, much of it seems to have melted and warps inward, which is not consistent. Could the fire have burned so hot that it started melting the metals? Certainly Earth metals could not withstand the same kinds of temperatures as Cybertron metals.
