[RPG] Bots, level, gold

I get no love from this game !!

The necromancer - just ate my lunch! I won but by the hair of my chinny chin chin. ugggH!

Maybe he will be in a better mood tomorrow night and I can get some pay to heal myself. Do you feel like you just work, work work and bring home less and less? I swear it feels like days since I was paid :)

That's a remarkably difficult idea, since you'd have to independently code it into the code (as its currently written) for each bot since at the moment it looks at a table for the GP value. For the levelling bots you'd also need to manually edit its gp value every time it levelled.

Leave 20,000 in the bank, and in 90 days, you'll have more than 1.5 million gold. You'll be a frickin' RPG millionnaire in three months!

Edit: once you have that much gold, you can start making real money by selling the gold on ebay :D

Well, the big reboot will be coming once all the bugs are fixed. Hopefully it will be easier for people to survive, but harder for people to shoot to enormous levels of wealth and power in a short period of time. All depends on whether we manage to balance it right!

Plus, importantly, I want to encourage player vs. player battles (a la Petz) rather than bot battles.
 


Its going to be hard to do that, since Player battles are only worth money if the player has gold and the only way to get gold is to post or fight bots, (and to be honest posting provides to little gold to be worth it in such cases). In other words there's no reason not to fight bots unless you just want to give people reason to do nothing other than spam (ie set the bot gold level even lower than posting gets).
 

I'm trying to create a battle against the Necromancer, but the system tells me that he's already in a battle. Even though no battle is listed in the Battlegrounds involving the Necromancer.
 

The code for going back to the Battlegrounds is a simple JavaScript Back (it doesn't reload the Battlegrounds) so you won't see a fight that started straight after you went to the battle creation panel unless you refresh.
