There are different elevations, a small sandy beach, a cave, a watch tower, and rough waves. Map Pack 2 shows the Dark Fortress, one of Uthorion‘s defensive battlements springing up across Aysle as he lays siege to the land. Includes a moat, courtyard, battlements, and a siege weapon. Man, OSE is definitely the new hotness in the OSR crowd. Time was, we would have a bunch of Lamentations of the Flame Princess and Swords & Wizardry adventures.

OSE does it's job well.
I wanted to like DCC but those dice, for whatever reason, just throw me off.

DCC has a lot more going on than just the Zocchi dice. Their inclusion feels like a goof that overshadows a lot of other aspects of the game.

Glad to know I'm not the only guy who feels this way! I love everything else about the game, but that's put me off from actually bringing it to the table.

And yet, since I use digital dice rollers behind the screens, it certainly doesn't stop me from borrowing lots of tables from DCC sources - and everything else the game offers - to use in 5E...
