Run While Slowed?

... but I always think of double move as 2 separate moves as it hurts my head less that way.

You strike issues with things like difficult terrain, though.

Let's say there is no double move. Someone spends a move action to shift, and attempts to enter difficult terrain; they can't, since the movement cost is 2 and they can only shift one square. They spend a second move action to shift, and attempt to enter the same square; they still can't.

But with a double move, they can, because they can now shift 2 squares, rather than shifting 1 square on two separate occasions.
