S2: War in Vastermarch - Completed

I'll get a post up soon taking into account Razh & Ogrin's actions. Everyone else is up too, basically, as there is one one active enemy basically, & he's currently off the map.
 


Beamer's face turns a deep red as he lets out a screaming stream of obscenities. "They always escape!!!" He's clearly furious, even though the battle appears to be won, and it equally clearly has little to do with the injured or killed villiagers. He moves back toward the wagon.

Juliana will check on the civilians, with the enemy far from her.

OOC: I'm assuming she can't see it, right?
 


If the PCs don't pursue Tharok, then the battle is essentially over. There are 4 blinded orcs, and two zombies that will return after the rebuke expires. But these are not worth keeping us in combat time for. You do need to tell me if you'll kill them or what. Tharok's actually not that far away, though since Nodis, Juliana and Beamer have indicated they won't pursue, and Banion and Razh can't, it would be up to Eusebius to do so.

IC: Eusebius looks around at the vanquished field. He frowns at the sight of fallen comrades, then scowls ferociously when he realizes that the piebald spellcaster is escaping unharmed. He calls out to Juliana, even as he sets off in pursuit of Tharok.

"Juliana, keep an eye on Beamer! Don't let anything happen to him."

He then races towards the half-orc. As soon as he is in range, he will send spangled death flying his way, attacking with his spiked chain, and keeping up the pressure with any opportune attacks he can make, should Tharok attempt to cast a spell.

[sblock=OOC]Eusebius will attack as soon as he is within 10 feet - unless he has sufficient movement to bring him up next to Tharok and still make an attack. He'll use the chain to best effect, staying within range, so that Tharok can't simply take a 5 foot step out of range and cast without attracting an AoO. :]

E has a movement rate of 40 feet. Any time he has the option, he'll use Flurry of Blows in preference to the spiked chain.[/sblock]
 

well, let's stay in combat time, then.

Round 9 (10:35:48)
Ogrin mops up the final orc to the rear of the little caravan. He takes a deep breath. The way seems clear. The civilians are ready to travel.

Banion stumbles into the trees, hands outstreched, not sure what's going on any more. He's actually only about 15 feet away from the nearest of the three blinded orcs.

Beamer curses and moves back towards the wagon. Juliana stays with him.

Eusebius dashes after Tharok and Razh, not yet aware that the dwarf is about to turn around. Eusebius is able to cover almost 80 feet, though the trees and brush slow him somewhat. He ends up about 5 feet away from the painted half-orc, but hasn't been able to move in a straight line and attack. The half-orc is still easy to see, as he is glowing from glitterdust. There are still two of him. Just as he arrives, Razh turns tail and heads back to the caravan. Eusebius catches the tail end of that conversation, but doesn't really understand what happened.

Nodis is able to see that Eusebius pass him, but stays hidden in the woods, near the blinded orcs. Talbin has no enemies near him anymore. He notices Razh, Juliana and Beamer heading towards the rear.

Tharok is able to step back 5 feet, gaining partial cover behind a tree, and casts a spell, creating a black net, set with sharp spikes, behind the monk. It swoops in, slashing at him, but missing. [ wow - that's some bad rollin'. I think Tharok is not subject to an AoO since he's got partial cover. But if he should be subject to it, go ahead & roll your attack & dmg - and try not to hit his mirror image]

In the back, Hugh gets the horses moving.
