"No? Perhaps, this fine blade can pique your interest?"

Dropping his dagger, Ogrin draws his longsword and brings his shield to bear. Being much wary of the Ogre's powerful swings, he ducks and dodges and takes no risks when attacking. Yet, his blade cuts into the Ogre's thigh and draws blood.

"As you can see, it carries a good edge, despite a good use."

OOC: With Shield + Dodge + move 4 points to AC with combat expertise, Ogrin has 28 AC. Hits AC 21, does 6 points of damage.

Beamer is startled to feel pity toward Lothar well up inside him. Asking a bear for quarter? He must be so afraid he is at wits end. Beamer is uncertain whether the bear will listen, but he does his best yelling, "Bear, go help Banion. Get the other one," while gesticulating wildly at Sangster.

He then readies himself to cast a grease spell on Torvin as soon as Torvin is 10 feet from the edge of the bridge.

OOC:
Grease DC 15 vs. Reflex or fall. Then, DC 10 Balance check to move, failure by 5 or more means he falls.
Spells remaining after grease: 6/3/5/2

Ogrin slashes at the ogre, hurting it. It strikes back, crazily. Ogrin just barely avoids being sliced in half by its huge axe.

Ogrin is now able to feint and fight, fully armed. He easily draws the monster off guard and makes a good thrust into its chest. (Ogre now @-19)

The ogre ignores the pain, and continues to fight; bellowing with rage. Ogrin sidesteps and again feints successfully, but can't penetrate the creature's thick hide with his weapon.

Round 5...
Ogrin (41/52 hps)
Ogre 1(-19)
Ogre 2(full hps)

Round 3 (con't)
Beamer moves forward, sending the bear after Sangster. The bear lumbers at an amazing pace, reaching Sangster.

Banion tumbles away, and hurls his mindblade at Sangster, who deftly dodges.

Eusebius holds his ground.

Torvin continues to charge across the bridge. As he nears the end, his body seems to mutate, enlongating. His knees now bend the wrong way, and a hairy snout emerges from under his helmet. He's nearly reached the end of the bridge, and Beamer casts grease. Torvin retains his balance.

Eusebius can still act in round 3

Round 4
Lothar continues to plead for his life, and crawls away, randomly.
Sangster hears the bear approaching and screams. He does try to stab it, but misses. The bear leaps upon him. It pulls him in with its claws, rolling on its side and rending with its back legs. Sangster's scream is extinguished as its jaws clamp onto his neck. Sangster will scream no more.

Round 3
Lothar: (-19 hps. blinded until round 7)
Sangster (dead)
Bear (hasted until round 8)
Banion (53/59)
Torvin
Beamer (hasted until round 8)
Eusebius: (hasted until round 8)<--

Round #3:

Eusebius gasps as Torvin undergoes his transformation.

"Ah, Lord of Purity, how your champion has been befouled!"

Then, with unshed tears gleaming in his eyes, he says in a harsh voice to Beamer, "Werewolf. Bring your pet. And use silver or spells."

With that the doughty priest casts Protection from Evil before drawing his silver kama and stepping forward to block the mouth of the bridge.

Ogrin continues to deftly avoid his opponents blows while feinting and attacking. When the first Ogre goes down, he'll move forward while taunting it (5ft step forward)

Round 3:

OOC: Your roll for Ogrin in round 3 was 19, which is actually a possible crit (hits AC 16) for 5 more damage.

Round 4:

Ogrins cuts tears through the Ogre's tunic but fails to penetrate its armor. A shame; the hit would've dealt serious damage to the lumbering giant.

"As you can see, it can cut cloth..."

Round 5:

Fast as lightning, Ogrin seizes the opportunity to stab the Ogre's arm. Following up with a quck slash, Ogrin opens his opponents arm from wrist to elbow.

"...as well as meat"

OOC: confirmed crit

Round 6:

OOC: I messed up cut and paste in this roll by including the Ogre's feint roll and something strange happened with the damage roll as well. Reuse or reroll as you will.

Round 5

Ogrin takes down the first ogre without further damage to himself. He does this quickly, and confidently enough, that he gives the second ogre pause.

When the first comes crashing down, the second begins moving slowly backwards. It says something Ogrin can't understand, and keeps its axe at ready, but is now 15 feet away.

Ogrin could now loot the first ogre of the key and whatever else, though doing so would require a free hand. The door with the keyhole is behind Ogrin's back.

------

OOC: This adventure is almost over, if you hand't guessed, and Ogrin is the furthest from finishing, for whatever reason. Rae - I've left you in a kind of limbo, perhaps. I dont' know if you understood the situation fully when you posted your last action, so I didn't proceed with it. Please restate you actions after killing your evil twin.

It would not be difficult for Razh to avoid looking in the freestanding mirror. The chess piece is no longer there, on the table in front of that mirror. There is the black curtain on a wall. His hand no longer stings.

Ogrin sheathes his sword and then makes use of one of his smokesticks to cover the alleyway between himself and the other Ogre. He then proceeds to quickly loot the corpse of the fallen Ogre from keys and other obvious valuables ("wasn't there a gold ring on his finger?"). Then, not forgetting to pick up his dagger, he heads towards the door. He'll keep his shield ready all the time, in case the Ogre's courage returns.

With his previous target down, Banion will continue to move about throwing mindblades. He'll make it a priority to keep his mindblade charged, as damage reduction is likely to be a problem (as a werewolf seems to be the last remaining target.)

Rounds 4 and 5 (1d20+9=16, 1d6+1d4+3+1d8=14, 1d20+9=23, 1d6+1d4+3+1d8=17)

I think some of that isn't subject to DR. Let me check...

Here it is:

SRD said:
Psychokinetic
Upon command, a psychokinetic weapon glows from the inside with lethal psionic energy. The energy does not harm the hands that hold the weapon. Such a weapon deals an extra 1d4 points of damage on a successful hit. This extra damage is ectoplasmic in nature and is not affected by damage reduction. Bows, crossbows, and slings bestow this ability upon their ammunition.

Banion will therefore do at least 3 damage each if either of those hits.
