IC:
Beamer spends much of the ride keeping an eye on Reinert. He's almost completely oblivious to the surrounding woods.

I know we lost a number of horses in the big battle in S2, but I didn't track which was which well enough. I'm going to assume Eusebius lost his horse there as well. But he could keep up on foot. I'll assume he rides the wagon with Reinert, though, as that's much easier than walking.

It looks like the order, then, is Reinert's wagon in front, with Eusebius. Banion trotting alongside. Then Ogrin on his warpony. Then Raseriet & Beamer riding in back. That may not really be how you want to keep it long term, but I'll use it in this instance.

The trip through the Silverwoods is bumpy and confusing. The trees often arch over the trail, making it dark even during the day. At other times, the trail meanders through wide meadows, with beautiful flowers. Occationally the group must ford a stream, but nothing very deep or wide. Reinert seems to know the way well.

Reinert wears chain shirt armor and keeps a dagger strapped to his boot. His heavy crossbow and quiver of bolts are attached to the side of the seat in easy reach. His dwarven waraxe and small metal shield are under his seat. Rasereit sees the emblem of clan Ken on the shield. Ken is a clan from the Stonespike mountains, and Razh is not very familiar with them.

At one point, in a dark stretch, where the path pushes through a thick patch of tall ceders, Reinert's horses suddenly stop and bray. The thick branches significantly reduce visibility. No one can even see why the horses have balked, as their heads are largly invisible in the green needles. They try to back up, but seem somewhat stuck.

Beamer stays in the saddle, but draws his wand of scorching ray out from his pack. He also let's Louie out of his pack to perch on his shoulder and see if there is anything in the immediate vacinity that eyes might miss.

OOC:
Louie has blindsense 20 ft.

Eusebius hops off the wagon. Reinert whips the horses. "G'dyap yall!" he shouts.

Eusebius moves up and pushes away the branches. What he sees is quite disturbing. The horses' heads are stuck in a thick web. It is like a spiderweb, but vastly larger than anything the monk has ever seen, stretching between the trees and up & beyond as far as he is able to make out. And as the horses struggle, the web quivers...

OOC: I can't put up a map yet, but feel free to roll your own initiative...

*assuming Beamer hears about the web at some point*
A giant web? Giant spiders like the ones near Lathirn, or it could be one of Seto's wizard minions, some bastard half-brother of Tharok. Well either way, they'll find us no easy prey. "Watch the woods for a wizard! It might just be huge spiders, though." Beamer then mumbles arcane words, and his allies feel some pep in their step.

OOC:
Having encountered some weak giant spiders before, Beamer is more concerned that there might be an invisible wizard in the forest. He casts a spell to help his allies, but keeps his attention focused everywhere except toward the web.

Beamer casts haste targeting Rasereit, Ogrin, Eusebius, Reinert, Banion, and himself (shared with Louie). +1 to hit, +1 dodge to AC, +1 reflex saves, and an extra attack for 6 rounds.

Rasereit raises his waraxe and shield, which he already had in hand of course. "Big spiders? Where? Beamer, ye stayin' wit' meh or are ye gettin' off?"

OOC: 23 initiative, so Rasereit goes before Beamer, but if Beamer wants to stay off the front line, Rasereit will delay for his sake.
