Trying to avoid the precipice of defeat, Sabaron pushes hard!

"Love is a wonderful thing, Dalamar, but it won't extend your lifespan. My love for my country almost got me killed."

"If you're still alive, you still have your magic."

The nunchaku blasts the ricefield; waves away the blood of the flame!

"Maybe so... But I haven't had any contact to my magic even when I have tried."
For his age, Dalamar is quite graceful as he hops in the air and tries to land a spin kick at Sabaron's groin.

Though the judges appreciate the sheer destructiveness of Dalamar's attack, they also like the sneaky way that Sabaron, the good guy, went for the cheap shot.

Seeking to surprise his opponent, Sabaron springs an attack that he has carefully practiced for a moment like this. Adopting the defensive Turtle stance, Sabaron waits until Dalamar approaches him, then suddenly springs forward, grabbing at Dal's legs and trying to bring him down.

"Well, in order to keep you alive and still graceful, your magic that keeps you young must be renewing itself. Perhaps you could start by drawing on a little of that and work your way from there?

The turtle storms the castle; conceals the efforts of the wood!

The onyx crane carves the tombs; defends against the pain of the fires!

"That could work, but what would then happen to me, if I started using the energy that lenghtens my life to do other things?
Would I wither and die in mere moments?"
Oblivious of Sabaron's cunning plan, Dalamar aproaches for another kick. When Sabaran suddenly springs forward, he tries to jump over and on him.

The judges clap and then motion to the flag girl...

Sabaron glances over at the judges and finds himself irked by the two flags staring at him from Dalamar's side. While the judges are ogling the flag girl, he zips over and nabs one of the flags!

"I'm not suggesting you suddenly spend ALL of your magic. Tap a tiny bit of it. Use it for practice; that's all I suggest. It must be self-replenishing to keep you alive, you know."

The speeding fang bows by the grotto; averts the rising of the river!
