First Post
On numerous occasions I have seen people using the sage as reference to various rules etc.
Where do you obtain your info?

Thx

Sage Advice is a section of Dragon Magazine where Skip Williams answers questions from readers, explains rules, etc.

He is "The Sage".

More like he was The Sage.

Last I heard he was in the layoff at WotC and it was unkown as to wether or not he'd continue writing for Dragon Magazine.

Skip is still the Sage, and still working for Dragon Magazine (no longer owned by Wizards).

Yep. He still have his column in the Dragon the last time I checked. Only this time, Wizards must approve his answers since he is no longer an employee.

Are you sure about that (attribution)? Frankly, I'm highly skeptical that WOTC would take the time to fire Skip and then hire another employee to proofread his answers.

Nobody needs WOTC approval to answer D&D rules questions (e.g., this forum). They just may or may not be at odds with official WOTC policies.

WotC does not need to approve is answers, since Dragon Magazine is not owned by WotC. Also, his answers are not official WotC answers now, and the distance/time between his answers and them appearing in the official Faq has increased.
