Sandstorm- any questions?

Diprotodon! The book contains giant wombats - damn what other australians does this wonder contain?

Boomerangs!

Alas there are no dire kangaroos or, even better, a desert-adapted dire koala (drop bear) but I'm sure they would be easy to stat up....

Fins cool your armour down; the parasol helps with any Disguise checks you need to make when you attend the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras.
I read this and was like, "Yeah, okay, huh. The S-- that's weird. Oh, he's joking. Hm. I must be tired."

Well, my attempt at humour was fairly lame... but what, really, other response could a parasol get? ;)

What can you tell me about this one:

I don't know if I can ask but... could you tell us more about the Asherati? I, for one, LOVE new PC races ... for a reason I can't say here, as my players come here too. ;)

It's called a chekryan and is a psionic scorpion with 3 HD and a CR of 4. It can use fog cloud, dimension door and a new power, inconstant location, 1/day each. The new power is very cool as it allows the manifester to move each round as swift action and teleport-like effect limited by both its normal move speed and line of sight/effect. Anyway, it's a great way to bounce around a battlefield.

Besides the fact that it looks REALLY lame?

Oh and its only yesterday that I discovered that KYLIE was actually a throwing stick not what an Ozzy bloke uses to clean up the dags

I assume you've seen the picture on the WotC website? Anyway, they're able to swim in the sand, make their body glow, need very little water and can cope better with heat than other races. They have +1 natural armour, no ability modifications and a LA of +0.

Is it good?

I think so. I noted above that I plan to use the various sites in my games and that pretty much ensures that this has been a worthwhile purchase. I didn't find the monsters as compelling as those in Frostburn but there are some worthwhile additions, nonetheless. The spells are pretty good... particularly if you are a druid... because we all know how weak druids are in 3.5E.... ;)
