Realizing that the mage, while more dangerous, is perhaps outside her reach for the moment, Deezy rushes in and quickly affixes the PPE battery she'd found before to her omniblaster while switching it back to the sunlight-blast configuration. If she could take out one of the vampires, this would be better than trying to nail that mage and hitting nothing but air. She was nearly entirely exhausted and getting more power from the ley line would take precious time she wasn't sure her allies had.

The battery isn't quite enough to charge the weapon up for a full salvo, but she exhausts the reagants she'd added, and the battery both, unleashing a torrent of blindingly bright bolts of light at the 'master' vampire!

(Okay. So...with the 1 PPE left in this thing, and the 5 PPE in the battery, I can do 3 shots. 6 to hit with the first, for 9 damage, and a clean miss on the second with a 2, and a 9 to hit on the third, for another 9 damage. Kind of craptastic rolls, but honestly what's new with that? :))

[sblock=Rolls!]3 shots at vampy: 1D10.OPEN(10) = [6] = 6
1D6.OPEN(6) = [5] = 5
3D6.OPEN(6) = [2, 4, 3] = 9
1D10.OPEN(10) = [2] = 2
1D6.OPEN(6) = [1] = 1
3D6.OPEN(6) = [1, 2, 4] = 7
1D10.OPEN(10) = [9] = 9
1D6.OPEN(6) = [4] = 4
3D6.OPEN(6) = [5, 3, 1] = 9
[/sblock]

(gah! I even meant to do that too, lol...thanks for the reminder. Deezy does indeed duck back behind cover with the remainder of her movement. :))

Dawn’s flashing blades catch one of Killboy’s vibrosword but the crazy retains it in his iron grip. Alenys bursts into flames and tries to bite the vampire on the wall but while her attack missed, her fiery aura caused the creature to cry out in pain. Then Deezy moved inside the room and blasted at the vampire with multiple bolts. One seem to hurt him but he cursed her out loud and avoid most of the attack. She ducked back outside to get some cover. Varg, shouting and swinging wildly at Killboy, his chainsword leaving a cut along the man’s thigh.

Killboy growled at Varg in a bit of pain but seemed otherwise unaffected. Then the wizard blasted the area around Deezy and caused her to cry out in surprise although the necrotic damage seemed to cause no actual damage. The vampire on the wall suddenly changed into mist and flew past Alenys and outside to appear (still in mist form) behind Deezy!!! Then the female vampire raced from behind the table to slash at Dawn with one of her clawed hands but she missed the cyber-knight easily…

GM: [sblock=Rolls]Killboy’s Strength check to avoid disarm (+2 to Strength for berserk) : 1D10.OPEN(10)+2 = [2]+2 = 4
1D6.OPEN(6) = [2] = 2
. Hmmm I am going to spend his one benny to re-roll this, cause Killboy is all about his swords :) Strength check to avoid disarm (+2 to Strength for berserk) : 1D10.OPEN(10)+2 = [9]+2 = 11
1D6.OPEN(6) = [5] = 5
. So he has no more Bennies but has his sword (note I still have 3 GM bennies that I can spend on any roll). I also forgot that Killboy has Unnatural Reflexes so while he is Berserk he suffers -2 to Parry, Unnatural Reflexes means everyone suffers a -2 to their attack rolls against him. Just as and FYI…

Then Alenys tries to bite the Vampire but misses. He does suffer a Shaken affect vs. her flaming scales though, so he is Shaken.

Then Deezy fires multiple blots at the Vampire, note that you only supposed to get one Wild die with multiple attacks in round BUT that the wild die did not really matter with any of your hits. Also the last 1d10 attack roll was a 9 so that is a hit with a raise, so the extra d6’s you were rolling, I will use the second one (the 2) as your extra damage to the last attack is 11 damage. As the Vampire is Shaken already this would cause him a wound. He can’t regenerate Sunlight damage (and he still has 2 wounds from Sunlight before that he has not been able to regenerate BUT he ignores up to 2 wound penalties) so I am using a GM Benny to soak this wound (so I have 2 GM Bennies left). Soak roll : 1D12.OPEN(12) = [12, 6] = 18
1D6.OPEN(6) = [2] = 2
, oh he easily made that!!

Then Varg Wild Attacks Killboy (+2 to attack and damage but -2 to Parry, also +1 gang up bonus with Dawn, but still -2 for Unnatural Reflexes), Attack Fighting skill roll : 1D10.OPEN(10)+1 = [9]+1 = 10
1D6.OPEN(6) = [6, 2] = 8
, hit with a Raise. Damage with raise : 2D6.OPEN(6)+2D8.OPEN(8) = [6, 5, 1]+[3, 5] = 20, which is 7 over Killboy’s Toughness (13 +2 for Berserk -2 for the chainswords AP), so a Wound and Shaken. Hmm I can ignore wound penalties while Berserk I am going to save my Bennies and left him suffer that right now.

Then Badguys
Killboy is Shaken so I need a roll first (Combat Reflexes gives +2 to this roll) Recover from Shaken: 1D8.OPEN(8)+2 = [3]+2 = 5
1D6.OPEN(6) = [3] = 3
, arg. He recovered but that was his whole round. OK…

Then Magnus fires a Medium burst template Mega Blast (base 3d6, upgraded to 3d10) at Deezy (as she is the only one not next to any of his allies), area affect means just need a 4 to hit, but -2 because of maintaining two other powers, Casting the blast power : 1D12.OPEN(12)-2 = [7]-2 = 5
1D6.OPEN(6) = [5] = 5
, he succeeded, damage is Damage from attack: 3D10.OPEN(10) = [4, 5, 5] = 14. You also gets +2 for taking cover (Medium cover gets you -2 to ranged attacks or +2 AP vs. area attacks) but that is a 14, so right at Deezy’s Toughness so she is Shaken (Spirit roll to recover, need a 4 and it takes your round. If you get a 8 or spend a Benny you can act instantly on your next turn.
This cost him 8 PPE, bring him down to 57 PPE.

The Vampire Master tries something different, he is going to Turn to Mist Form Smarts Roll-2: 1D10.OPEN(10) = [6] = 6
1D6.OPEN(6) = [5] = 5
, forgot the -2 but he made it (getting a 4). That is his Action and then he moves down the wall (4”) and outside back behind Deezy (another 4”, his Pace is 18 so no problems. This way, he assumes, that he can’t be threatened by flaming aura).

Vampire Bride races at Dawn to attack with her claws (her Pace is 10” so she had to run so -2 to her attack but +1 for gang-up from Killboy). She is going to Wild Attack Dawn (+2 to hit and damage if she succeeds but -2 to her Parry next round). Fighting check vs. Dawn: 1D10.OPEN(10)+1 = [2]+1 = 3
1D6.OPEN(6) = [5] = 5
, and that’s a big miss.[/sblock]

[sblock=Initiative Cards]Alenys – JOKER (everyone gets +1 Benny, and this Turn Alenys gets +2 to her trait rolls and damage rolls).
Dawn – 6 of Spades
Deezy – 6 of hearts
Varg – King of Hearts

Magnus – JOKER (NPC, even wild cards don’t get extra bennies when the GM draws the Joker)
Killboy (quick) – Jack of Hearts
Vampires (improved level headed) – Ace of Clubs, Queen of Hearts and 10 of Hearts.

Hmmm two Jokers? I am going to all the Heroes to all go First, but Marcus also is going to go at the same time as the rest of you. He is planning on making an Spell casting roll vs. Alenys but you can all take your actions now also.

NOTE that the badguys are all out of personal Bennies but I still have 2 GM bennies[/sblock]

So positions of everyone
Alenys by the wall inside the doorway about 2” from it and on fire.
Dawn and Varg are 8” inside past the door facing Killboy (they each get +1 gang up bonus against him next roll with melee attacks) and the Vampire Bride (she is on the other side of Dawn and Varg so no gang up bonus for her).
Deezy is still outside the door so 2” from Alenys, 8” from Dawn and Varg, and 20” from the table (this means attacks against Magnus are at -5 (-2 for his Greater Invisibility, -2 for Medium Range and -1 from his Dodge edge.) The Vampire Master is just behind her in Melee but he is in Mist Form right now (so 3" from Alenys). He is STILL vulnerable to Sunlight (and running Water hahah) attacks in this form though!!

Round 4

“Deezy! Watch out behind you!” Alenysturathe shouted in warning to the technomage in the doorway as the vampire lord turned to mist and flew out the door. Alenyx couldn’t follow without possibly harming Deezy, so she flew down to attack the newly arisen vampire woman that had charged at Dawn.

“Stay down, bitch!” Alenys growled as she bit down on the woman.

I am going to Benny that and reroll.

That should hit.

"Behind?!" Deezy whirled around and on seeing the foggy murky vampire cloud there, perhaps she panicked a bit. The omniblaster, modified as it was, had only what 'juice' was left over from its past shots. Not enough to go full automatic again, but maybe enough for one last hurrah...

She slammed the heel of her palm against its side, and with a k-tchak the barrel assemblies all closed together to form one massive barrel. She trained it on the hovering vampire even as a shape seemed to be forming within it; all teeth and claws and feral, immortal hunger that was bearing down on her!

The night lit up as she opened fire; even her goggles doing little to blot out that spear of sunlight!

(Using last of Personal PPE on a single shot Onslaught!)
Big blast at vampy: 1D10.OPEN(10) = [6] = 6
1D6.OPEN(6) = [3] = 3

Big boom damage: 6D6.OPEN(6) = [5, 4, 3, 2, 2, 5] = 21

Alenyx flew over and bite into the female vampire and shaking her like a doll. Her flaming scales also burn the night creature and then she tosses the body to the ground where it appears dead! The elf wizard stood up and drawing a greenish glowing ball of arcane energy that he unleashed on the dragon hatchling! For a second the young dragon is engulfed in a greenish cloud of necrotic energy!!

Dawn tried to disarm Killboy but her twin blades missed the maniac. Then Deezy stepped back away from the collective mist and unleashed a powerful blast of concentrated light. This time the techno-wizard caught the fiend fully with her attack!! For a second she could see the vampire screaming and then the mist was blown apart and a fine dust settles in its place. The vampire was again dead!!! Then Varg lashes out with his chain-sword to struck at Killboy, and while his attack appears to do no damage it does momentarily distant the berserk crazy. But only for a moment as the madman quickly shakes off the affects but again does nothing else.

Suddenly the supposedly burnt and dead vampire female’s wounds heal almost instantly and she stood to flees past the huge table and away from the fighting!!!

GM: [sblock=Rolls and Results]Alenyx bite and did enough damage to wound the Vampire Bride and there her scales also did a wound which would normally kill her BUT being a vampire there are only certain things that can kill her so she is down and out but can regenerate again on her turn.

Then Master Magnus acts he attacks Alenyx with Greater Blast, which will deal 3d10 damage costing him 8 PP (bring him down to 39 PPE). Attack/Power Use roll Casting roll: 1D12.OPEN(12)-2 = [3]-2 = 1; 1D6.OPEN(6) = [2] = 2, fails!! Arg, ok I am spending on of his personal Bennies (he has 1 left) to re-roll, Casting a spell: 1D12.OPEN(12)-2 = [8]-2 = 6; 1D6.OPEN(6) = [6, 6, 6, 2] = 20, oh a 20 that’s lots better. So he hits with a Raise! Damage from attack: 3D10.OPEN(10)+1D6.OPEN(6) = [6, 8, 7]+[6, 5] = 32, oh that is 4 over Alenyx’s Toughness so she is Shaken and Suffers a Wound! If you spend a Benny this round to Soak this (by Spending a Benny and rolling your Vigor and Wild Die) remember you get +2 because you drew the Joker this round. If you get a 4+ you take no Wound and are not Shaken.

Dawn missed Killboy

Deezy hit the Master Vampire mist. Normally when you are in melee he gets too use his Parry but as he can’t hurt you or even touch you this round it hits him. 24 is 14 points over his Toughness or 3 wounds!! Yikes that would be 5 wounds total. OK using last GM benny to try and soak this, Soak roll: 1D12.OPEN(12) = [2] = 2; 1D6.OPEN(6) = [3] = 3, and I don’t even get one success, he is Dead!!! Or Re-dead!!

Varg wild attacks Killboy (+2 to hit and damage -2 to Parry) and gets +1 more for Gang up, Attack roll: 1D10.OPEN(10)+3 = [4]+3 = 7; 1D6.OPEN(6) = [6, 1] = 7, a base hit (as Killboy is berserk). Damage from attack: 2D8.OPEN(8)+1D6.OPEN(8) = [6, 4]+[1] = 11, that is right at his Toughness (with AP from the chainsword) so just enough to Shake him.

Badguys
Killboy tries to Recover from Shaken: 1D8.OPEN(8)+2 = [5]+2 = 7; 1D6.OPEN(6) = [1] = 1, arg made it but missed it by one to take a Free Action. Killboy recovers this round BUT again does nothing else.

Vampire Bride Regeneration from attacks: 1D10.OPEN(10) = [8] = 8; 1D6.OPEN(6) = [5] = 5, oh she does with a Raise!! She then flees :)[/sblock]

[sblock=Initiative Cards] Alenyx – 2 of Clubs
Dawn – 4 of Hearts
Deezy – Jack of Hearts
Varg – 5 of Spades

Magnus – 4 of Spades
Killboy – 10 of Hearts

The heroes go first!![/sblock]

Positions
Alenys, Dawn and Varg are inside past the door (8”) facing Killboy
Deezy is at the entrance of the door now, so 8” from the rest of the party and 20” from the table where Magnus is.
The Vampire Bride fled back 14” from Alenys and the others (so she is 22” from Deezy)
