Awesome.

Yeah, I spent a couple hours playing with it the other day, prepping this encounter. And I was inspired. It changed from being a basic fight with a bunch of rabble to a real character moment, which'll give the players some serious choices about whether they want to just lay waste, or take pity on someone. I built two NPCs out of there that might end up being major players in my plot.

I'm a little scared that I'm gonna go to Gencon this year and just fanboy geek-out at the Wizards booth and tell them how much I like this program. They're going to hate me. Or give me free stuff. Maybe both? I can only dream...

Ok. Along these same lines.

I've got two old minis that I want to use in a game. One is a Catfolk Wilder (black cat-person with two swords) and the other is a Thorn (tiny green guy, looks like some kind of wood nymph or something). There's no Catfolk in the Monster Builder, and the Thorn listed in there is a level 9 solo Skirmisher with 388 HP. So I don't think that's right.

Any suggestions on what existing creatures I should source to make these?

Thanks!

No seriously, I love the monster builder so much. I think the forum goers should write wizards a big open letter detailing how much we love it and donate something to charity in their name.

This.

The monster builder is just so good. My DDi subscription is worth it for this alone.

The catfolk sounds like a skirmisher so just do a search for skirmishers within the level range you're looking for and then re-skin from there. I like the Sambral Bravo (skirmisher 2) as a good place to start.

The thorn is a fey (origin) and a plant (keyword) so they can be used to start your search. I would go with a dryad, lower its level, and replace the claws with a sword (and change its size). There, good to go. ;)
