Scarred Lands: Ask the Sage [Nothing can stop me now!! *evil laugh*]

Nightfall

Sage of the Scarred Lands
Yes folks. I will NEVER stop and I'm 85% sure the Scarred Lands goodness won't either. (At least I HOPE not. Btw Psion, you'd better get more S&SS books. Your collection...really small compared to mine. :p ;) )

So you all know the drill. Ask the Sage. He will reply.

You'd better catch up on (Freeport/Dragonstar/Dawnforge/Kalamr) ;)

This is an interesting snapshot. Nightfall stands on the precipice of 5 digits:

Hey I got Midnight and Eberron! :p Give me time for the rest. (And yes I'm updating my Oathbound collection too.)

And as always, I surpass the 5 digits and now in the elite 6 digits. :D

10,000 folks. Now I just need 5 k more to be in with Crothy. Maybe some day...

I am the humble Scarred Fan, still running games in Plains of Lede. I still need to get CC Revised and Mithril. I was wondering a few things though, Nighttfall.

Since I am going with a Greco-Roman Ghelspad, what do you think the impact of adding a witch class (such as the one from the DMG)? Second, does Mithril talk about the impact of eating fish from the Blood Sea? Or the effect of drinking Blood Sea water?

Thanks (long time no see)

I don't think Mithral talks about those things, but you might want to check out the supplement about the Blood Sea Blood Sea - The Crimson Abyss

Never! I refuse! They might stop the new books but they will NEVER kill the setting! (Planscape fans are proof of that.)

Ssampier (nice to see you again),

First adding the witch class has mininal impact in my book. Certainly there are a couple that you could use, but myself I prefer GR's Witch over all. The DMG witch is kind of weak and not that good.

Secondly, I'd have to agree with John, the Blood Sea book might have more details...but for me, it varies on the amount and time spent in the Blood Sea. Some might have strong poison/ingestion problems...while others might cause the person eating them to rage. It varies as I said. My advice, just use your best judgement.

more fluff

I know the DMG witch isn't that great, but it's good enough for my purposes now. ;) I figured the witch would be Titan worshipper, probably Denev or maybe Mesos.

The impact of Blood Sea fish is more for 'fluff' purposes. I was thinking something along a law or taboo prohibiting fish harvesting. The rich and powerful ignore such warnings and pay a priest cast __Remove Disease__ (curing say a ton of fish).

Makes sense to me. They'd be like a "less" skilled druid. I guess for me though, I feel if I'm adding in another core class, I'm using a class that can work.

I'd probably have fish from the blood Sea come at much higher tarriff rates. Not sure taboo would have much to do with it, but it might help with the taxes and stuff.

No stopping you? Evil laugh?

Are you evil?

So there's Ghelspud and there's Termania . . . how many other continents are on the face of da Scarred Land?

Is there a full world map of da whole globie?
