Scarred Lands: Ask the Sage.

My bet is on one of the gods statted out in _The Divine and the Defeated_

Although on a meta level I'd have to go with the only unbound titan. She is weakened by the devastation to the world from the divine war, but she is an unbound titan and on a fundamental level more powerful than the individual gods.

Voady,

Uhm which She we talking about here?

The gods in the Divine and the Defeated are avatars, and thus are probably only half/1/3/1/8 the power of a true divinity.

Well since I haven't had any more questions in the past few minutes, here a little tip:

Try using either the ratings thing from Ravenloft 3.0/3.5 for humaniods outside of elven, dwarf, and halfling or in Bestiary of Krynn. Why? Because this way your players, especially the ones that are either monstrous humaniod or something else might be understanding that not everyone likes them for their race. Racial prediuce is something I think needs to be used more often, especially in the Scarred Lands. The reverse is true in the forsaken elf domains, drendalia and probably the dwarves too. Halfling...eh.

Yeah. Denev. That was my first thought as well. She slumbers for now, but should she awaken... watch out!

Uhm some how I don't see Denev being all warlike and angry if she wakes up. She might be a little proactive about fixing stuff, but I don't see her like getting all mean and stuff like the rest of her brothers and sisters.

The question was:

What is the most powerful being in the Scarred Lands?

I think Denev easily qualifies.

Just my opinion. I'm not a self-appointed sage of anything; I just enjoyed reading the books.

Firstly,

I'm hardly self appointed. I am, in fact, an NPC. Secondly while I appreciate the fact people do have opinions, some of them that differ from mine, I do think that the fact Denev is a true neutral being, she rarely gets involved anything unless it harms the entire world.

Hey man... sorry to have offended. I was only talking about myself. I'm not a sage, self-appointed or otherwise. I'm just a guy who enjoyed the Scarred Lands books and saw a question that I had an opinion on, and posted up. I notice now that you entitled this Thread "Scarred Lands: Ask the Sage", so I should have known better than to butt in.

In conversational English, these sort of pauses are a natural place-holder while a speaker seeks a phrasing. In internet thread English, these leading pauses usually are to indicate that you are having to lower yourself to a lesser level to even respond, or are particularly astounded with the degree of ignorance demonstrated by the poster you're responding to. I'm not saying that it isn't true that you have a vast (titan-blood-infused?) sea of knowledge compared to a mortal such as myself. I'm simply saying that it can be interpreted as a rude posturing. I'll admit it caught me off guard, intended or not.

Best of luck with your sagery,
Vic20

Moving on.

So anyway at the moment for those that want to know how to perhaps incorporate some WotC base classes, here's some ideas:

Warlocks: Sorcerers that were infused with Mesosian sorcery along with demonic blood to create such creatures.

Hexblades: Much like Hags, Hexblades are often people that have hags blood or related to hags in some ways.

Spelltheives: As some Blessed of Mesos take spells, so do spelltheives, who might have sorcerous parents which such bloodlines.
