I suggested rephrasing the description, not altering the meaning (in order to take into account other alternative advancement paths).Trickstergod said:Thread hijacking!
Ahh, but a druid lacks Knowledge (religion) as an in-class skill. While bards do have it (and the requisite Hide, as well), in the context of the Scarred Lands, there's going to be few druid worshipping Drendari worshippers. As for other variant divine casters, well, as Shadow Walker and Drendari worshipper are near synonymous in my mind, anyway, it's not so big a deal, so long as Drendari's worshipped. [..]
Worshippers of Drendari are said to persecute/hunt those who dabble in shadow magic without Drendari's consent (i.e. usually those who investigate Slarecian legacy). Hence Decipher Script proposition.Trickstergod said:[..]
Decipher Script isn't too bad; however, my image of a Drendari worshipper is one both quiet and secretive, not ambassadorial. Thus why no Diplomacy. The less a worshipper of Drendari is noticed, the better. [..]
That's why all the subtle nuances of speech become so important. Besides, it's bad for a worshipper devout enough to receive spells not to be able to communicate. Note, that I am not advocating maximizing ranks in Diplomacy skill, merely leaving this avenue open to player characters.Trickstergod said:[..]To a degree; however, I don't see that being Drendari's general angle. Those who want to take that route in her name are likely better suited towards staying with just the cleric, whereas her more stealth and shadow inclined clergy probably wouldn't even admit who they worshipped, much less proselytized. [..]
Thanks for your time.Trickstergod said:[..]Anyway, didn't respond to everything, but there you have it. [..]

I am bookmarking the thread so I can find it whenever i need it. It may drop off from time to time, but I'm glad it'll be there when I need it ('specially now that I'm in a SL gameNightfall said:Trying REALLY hard to keep this thread alive folks! Would help if I got questions!![]()
One would hope so Brennin. I wasn't involved in that book but I do have a list of the prestige classes in that book. I know for me, more virtue feats WOULD be most appreciated.Brennin Magalus said:Okay. Can we expect more virtue feats in the upcoming paladin/monk book?
There is a scale for the maps. In the SLCS: Ghelspad, bottom left corner, there's a scale bar. As for the the latter, do remember that overland travel DOES depend on reliable roads/path and also good weather. So that might explain how the party can go from one part to the other in the first trilogy because of a fast boat. (Course having a god help out now and again isn't bad either!Thornir Alekeg said:OK, my question, which was sort of asked on a different thread, but not directly, is:
What are some distances between different locations in Ghelspad? There is no scale on the maps that I've seen, and even the Serpent trilogy seems to have some inconsistencies about length of travel between locations.
Some examples, or direction to a missed reference would be great
Well besides just a regular druid of Denev, there are the Renewers for one. (Both as an org and the Pr-class). Another, if you don't mind being settled in the Ganjus is the Jordeth. Another is Oaken Shadow, which you'll find in PG: Rangers and Rogues. Those are a couple I can think of off hand.johnsemlak said:Regarding SL druids, are there any paths for a druid that are open to a neutral good character? I was looking at the Incarnates, but they have a strict Neutral alignment requirement. What organization (and PrC) courld a NG druid (worshipping Denev) be a member of?
Nighty,
Please use your great influence with SSS to lobby for a line of miniatures! Reaper will be making some miniatures for Exalted, so SOMEONE at WW is open minded to miniature support.
IMC, the Mithril Golem got up and walked over to the Broadreach section of the Hornsaw. ( Why is a long story, but lets just say it has to do with my alternate ending to the SA trilogy - You may remember an earlier thread of mine discussing this a bit ) The cult of the Golem followed it and gathered believers almost two thousand strong along the journey in the Golems wake. It is now their intention to create a new city around the Golem ( New Mithril? ) - Perhaps with an long term goal of cleansing the fouled forest of its most dangerous titanspawn threats. In your opinion, what other challenges will this new community have & how will Calastia react?
