Tabitha glances around at the other Hounds, then shrugs and heads down the stairs herself, rapier poised in front of her as if it would light the way.

(OOC - Unless I forgot or missed something, I think Tabbycat might have gotten away with no wounds...)
 

Manous Artouche, Human Protecting Paladin 4 42/46HP 10/12 surges left

OOC: There apparently being no other takers, Manous will touch his holy symbolto his wounds as he says a brief prayer. (He uses his healing power twice on himself, spending two healing surges) Hope that's enough! Game mechanics wise this is just using 2 healing surges (@ 11hp each), but I threw in the 'holy crap' for effect. :heh: He thinks, "Holy Crap, I'm hurt!"

The old man straightens his hat as the battle ends, then pulls up a chair next to the trapdoor. He sits with Drache as the others rush downstairs or outside. Danger will attend to itself.

Once Manous completes tending to his injuries, he looks around and sees Wilhelm. "A wise course of action, I'm thinking. Mind if I join you, Wilhelm?" If Wilhelm assents, or at least doesn't refuse too violently, Manous will select another intact chair and place it next to Wilhelm's, and join the monitoring of the trapdoor.
 

Outside: The officer of the Church Knights dismounts. With a sniff he says, "We'll see about these so-called barbarians." He orders a few men to fan out and make sure there are no more troublemakers about and strides to the door.

Inside: Descending to the cellars you find a large larder with barrel vaulted ceilings. A torch lights the scene of a man and a woman standing together looking fearful. Both are bruised and bloody, but on their feet as you enter. A few broken wine bottles and smashed boxes of food stuffs litter the floor. Stones have been pried up from the floor in one spot as well. The man puts a protective arm around the woman. From their attire you'd guess they are the innkeep and his wife.

"Och, ye've got nuthin' ta fear now, fair inkeep," Colin says to the frightened man. "The Hounds have saved the day!"
 

The Way Down

Thayoon retrieves a small cloth from one of the many side pouches of his pack. Upon opening the bundle, it contains an iridescent sandy blue paste. He smears a finger load of it across the scratches to the crystals of his body and the wounds vanish as he buff them with the cloth. While putting the salve away he heads down the steps to investigate.

"Indeed, the orcs are all dead. You're most fortunate to be alive!"

She looks around, taking in the hole in the floor. "Any idea what they wanted here?"
