Manous does not understand this game at all, and looks around the group of spectators to see if he can see anything out of the ordinary.

Sensing a victory might be at hand, Henre takes up the guns again. He easily blasts the first two, but as he his handed the third freshly loaded smoothbore he takes notice of Tabitha watching. The attractive woman may have proven a distraction as the final shot just misses the mark. "I say this is unusually good sport sir. I've never been forced to shoot so many rounds in all my days." The side betting is also heating up. Such an interesting rivalry has not been seen here before. "Might I offer you a mug of beer before the next round? And perhaps something for your friends?" His eyes are on Tabitha as he says this last. "The keeper of the cellars here gets fine Lambecs from up north as well as Dwarven Lagers."

Lucien has his bet in, but if there is the chance to put a little more gold on Wilhelm, he does so.

The old man grunts, never very social to begin with. Ja, the Dwarfen Lager. Then, ve shoot. Noticing the man eying Tabitha, he gestures at the group, her included. Maybe they drink too. She likes the elf wines. There was a bit of a twinkle in the old man's eye perhaps.

The staff is only too happy to provide fine quality spirits to any who want them. Henre is buying this round. The beer arrives in a heavy mug and is a generous pint. It is a good dark beer lagered in a cave and made with forge toasted grains with strong hops notes to cut the sweetness of the malt.

Lucien has his bet in, but if there is the chance to put a little more gold on Wilhelm, he does so.

OOC: He placed 5gp earlier, but would add another 5 if possible.

OOC: Yes, you can find takers for up to 20 gp total.

"An excellent brew," exclaims Lucien upon tasting the beer. He hoists his mug high. "Here's to the shooters!"


OOC: Just 10 gp total for Lucien...the original 5gp bet, and another 5gp side bet. He only has so much he can lose.

When Manous sees the flagons of that heady, dark, tantalizing brew begin to flow copiously, his mouth begins to water and his eyes light up!

"Pardon, mademoiselle, est-ce que ces bier pour moi? C'est tres, tres bon! Merci beaucoup!"

The serving woman nods deferentially and passes the Paladin a cool mug of the Dwarven Lager.

Since no one else seems to be interested in taking him up on the free drinks, Henre nods to the old man. "I believe it is your shot sir, if you are ready?"
