The removal of the DVD navigation options is different in this case because of the "choose your own adventureness" of it. Since it is a non-linear story, fast forwarding and skipping chapters would simply take you to a different chapter numerically and not necessarily the next part of the story.
How much time is there between 'jump' points. I found it painfull to do just with the demo version, I can't imagine dealing with it in the full blown copy
