Scrolls of Cure Light Wounds

This can be convenient in some instances where a Lesser Restoration scroll scribed by a Paladin costs 50 gp, while one scribed by a cleric costs 150 gp.

But since there's only one paladin on the planet who learns Scribe Scroll, he charges an exhorbitant fee of 5 times the normal price. :)

Heh. Yes, of course. There are a few other similar spells between bard/ranger/paladin and the standard cleric/wizard spell lists. Ranger Resist Energy springs to mind as another one that cheaper for the ranger scribing. Who knows, though, somewhere there must be paladins who believe fighting evil is best done through knowledge, or paladin multiclass characters. :)

Paladin/wizards for the win! Just get those paladin level out of the way first. ;)

Unless the campaign happens to feature a LN, LG or NG god or goddess of magic that sponsors an order of paladin/wizards. That could happen, right? :)

Or you are playing Eberron - the feat Knight Training allows free multiclassing for another class with paladin (including monk).

But you would still need the Monk Training feat to freely multiclass in and out of Monk

No you don't.

Read the text under the Knight Training "If the selected class also has a restricted advancement, such as the monk class, taking paladin levels does not prevent you from advancing in that class."

Same text under Monastic Training (only swap paladin for monk).

Only need one of the two feats in order to advance as a monk/paladin.
