Scrying and Teleportation... Deus Ex Machina? ANYONE PLAYING UNDER ME STAY OUT!

You're running a one-on-one game? That's part of the trouble. D&D is a group game, and if there's only actual PC, or even two PCs run by one player, then they're going to suffer from a lack of character abilities. The campaign has to be tailored to match what they can do.

Very well. As such, I will end up recruiting two warm bodies before the very next segment, and for North Phonix's next trick, they're going to kick some puppet throat (along with many other throats before the war is out.)

I think I will give them a rather fitting death. In fact, I could stick with the puppets for just one more session just so I can personally shove the hand of Fate* up their proverbial rear ends (while the new recruits get to watch).

If you want (and I understand 100% if you decline), I can have you as one of the fleshy replacements, for an AIM-based campaign continuation. Any alignment other than LG will work, as Donovan already has that and the campaign's implications require one character of each nonevil alignment by the end of the campaign.

In addition, I will create an uber secret plot twist in order to keep it interesting.

*Last time I'll mention the HoF outside of the cluebat/HoF thread, honest!

Why? I doubt the new guys would be interested in how you kill your NPCs.

Sorry, mate. Working, grad classes, girlfriend, and the current game keeps me fairly busy. Good luck.

UPDATE: We resumed the campaign, and I changed course as directed by the community. The story focuses on the paladin, and the two flesh-and-bloods (two rogues, N and CN.). The very robust rogue UMD'd a scroll of Share Burden, on the bedridden cleric. He's still able to act, just with a mild CON penalty. The former DM Puppets are in the hospice, one helping the wounded and the other being VERY wounded.

The success was phenomenal. Thank you all!
