Ooh... I just remembered an idea of mine that I could put in this game also if you like it.

Your character is a survivor from Cyre. This is actually told to him by others as he can't remember it himself. In fact he can't remember virtually anything past awakening in Zilargo a little after the Day of Mourning, about two years ago. The only other memories are vague dreams that can't be recalled clearly in the morning. They are about war nonetheless, which has lead you to believe that you might have been in the army of Cyre.

What do you think?
 


I'm thinking it over and it could work, but I believe it would work best with the Heir of Siberys PrC. Of course she would have to wait till 13th level to actually gain her first level in the PrC.
 


Well it is interesting. But not quite sure how it would work. What about her abilities? Skills, feats, class features; I'm not quite sure how it would all tie together.

Methinks you are wanting my character to be a little like Cloud from FF7. ;)

Well in the two years she could have leveled up couple of levels and the rest is just something she instinctively remembers, but can't recall how. Most of skills and feats are afterall in the motoric memory instead in conscious memory :D.

And no, nothing like Cloud... The idea was originally for WoD game, where the protagonist was a vampire-hunter in the service of Vatican. All he could remember was a dream where he was running away, carrying a child in his arms.

But even that has changed some in this idea now, since the setting is so different :D.

Looks good. Where's Heroic Spirit from? EBCS? I guess you're putting lot of ranks to Know: History?

Heroic Spirit is on page 55 in the EBCS book. It bumps the characters action point maximum by +3.

And yes, I am maxing out Know: History. I'll have a total of +14 to all checks regarding that skill (8 ranks, +4 Int bonus, +2 Education bonus).

Melora is not her real name. She was born is Passage, Aundair to Caden and Engelica d'Wirth. Melora was born as Alessa Wirth. She was not born with the make of passage like her father before her. Her mother is in fact a celestial human, but this was unrevealed to her daughter or husband. When Alessa turned 21 years a burst of negative energy killed her parents and knocked her unconscious and near death. A kindly not so older man came upon her and her slain parents. The man, Emmet Von Braun as he revealed himself to be to a forgetful Alessa, gave her parents a proper burial and nursed Alessa back to health.

Alessa, with absolutely no memories of her own, was given the name of Melora Von Braun by Emmet. To Emmets surprise, he noticed her manifesting the mark of passage

To Melora, some things came very naturally to her. This gave her a scare as she didn't know where the abilities came from. She overcame her fears though and eventually decided to put them to use. Over the course of the last two years Melora has unlocked a vast reptoire of skills that had lain dormant since her coma. Melora

Although she remmembers nothing of her past, she has a lot of relatives and may eventually run into one of them. Being reunited with them will most likely awaken her mind to the past that she has left behind. In the meantime her adopted father willingly shelters and provides food for here whenever she is in Sharn.
