Serpent Kingdoms Art Gallery Is Up

On the art, Yig will be proud.

the propriatery, glassjawed, overmagiced yaun-ti will be most prominant in the writing i would bet. So bring dwarves, lots of them. watch the armor in the swamp though.

Anyway, I have a question about Serpent Kingdoms:

I am really interested in this book, but I also really dislike FR and would use that book for my homebrew setting which is extremely different from FR. So, who knows about Serpent Kingdom's contents? Is it heavily referenced on FR, or just a few notes here and there about "serpents" in that setting that could be easily snapped? (Please a quick answer, as I have only 7 days to buy it with Share the Love on amazon!)

Turanil, also posted on the WotC website is an excerpt for the book. I do not run the Realms either, but do plan on using this book in my homebrew. The excerpt porvides a pretty wide overview of the book; including details on deities, sample villains, the Deathcoils, Bone Naga, and Nagahydra statted out, and three sample feats. Hopefully, it will help you make your choice. Check it out:

Thanks! I had checked the site for art, but had missed the texts excerpts. Now I do see that I can use this book to good ends!

Edit: it appears the book will fit real good into my homebrew, so it is ordered! Seems that this book gonna go have a great deal of success seeing there was three people proposing it through Share the Love thread today!

I still don't like artwork by Dennis Cramer/Crabapple McCain, but this Ancient Master is not too bad. Other than him and Baxa, I like these pictures. The Sarrukh looks like my homebrew's ophidians.

The eyes Crabapple draws almost always looks weird. As long as he's drawing something that doesn't have a human-like face its all right :)
