It was hard not choosing Al-Qadim and Dark Sun, but I had to vote for Planescape and Spelljammer (which I guess counts as one vote for Planescape, and two for Spelljammer and every other setting except Ravenloft. Maybe only one for Dark Sun, depending on whether you think the phlogiston sailors who claim to have seen the Crimson Sphere are high on Herdspace antimagic grass).

Um .... I see a four-way tie for 8th place.

Yep. Dark Sun, Greyhawk, Eberron, Planescape are the big 4. FR, Ravenloft, and Al-qadim are 5-7. Then Birthright, Dragonlance, Mystara, and Nentir Vale.

My personal inclination would be to just run with 7 for the next round, or hell, just skip right to the semi-finals, considering the magnitude of the blowout. But obviously, Mercule's poll, Mercule's choice.

From what I was seeing, earlier, I could certainly justify skiing a round, but I really do wonder whether the bottom votes would coalesce around one of the middle tier (queue Republican primaries).

You know, Greyhawk never blips on my radar on these sorts of things - it would simply never get my vote. I have no association with it, so it never stands out as anything more than another generi-fantasy setting.

But when you consider the support it always gets (at least from the grognard faction?), I have to say I'm suddenly kinda curious about it. I'd definitely buy a Greyhawk supplement if WotC released one.
