If you live in the Bay Area and have ever been interested in learning to play the tactical skirmish game that uses WotC's D&D Miniatures line, please come to one of our League Nights! We will be glad to teach (and by "teach," I mean "teach," not "beat down mercilessly"), and many of us will send genuinely interested players away with a handful of free miniatures.
If you live on the BART line, or if Oakland is otherwise convenient for you, come to Endgame in Oakland, which is one block from Oakland City Center BART, at 10th and Washington. We play on Thursday nights, from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM or so.
If you live further south, GameKastle hosts League Nights on Thursday and Friday, I believe from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM or so. Thursdays tend to be more active. GameKastle is located in Santa Clara, at 19 Washington Street, only a mile or so from 280 and half a mile from 17/880.
This invitation is, of course, not just open to beginners, but to anyone interested in playing DDM. Come join the fun. As an aside, there are two Yahoo Groups you can join, for discussion and announcements: Bay Area DDM Discuss (for discussion) and Bay Area DDM (for announcements and classified). Please feel free to submit yourself for membership in those groups.
