Still waiting on Aldus, Genithar leans heavily upon Corran as he whispers insistently at the group, 'Mathew, if battle is joined, you must make it past the rogue and down stairs. Find Doggie and command it to follow you and then aid us.

Taking a deep breath, the Wizard continues, 'Remember the guards who joined our first battle? They came from downstairs, were there any others, they'd of attacked us, no? We others will hold here.

Looking at Balnibar, Lorth and finally Corran, Genithar nods encouragingly, explaining in a muted whisper, 'To start, me with a tanglefoot at one of the heavies, Corran and Balnibar with smokesticks to block ranged attacks or spells, and Lorth ready to drop whoever comes through, then supported by a smoke cloaked Balnibar. Corran and I will deal with the rogue Mathew must overrun. My spell is also ready for the leader, Corran ready to heal. We hold on Mathew, our best hope to break the attack. Other plans? Suggestions?'

His keens eyes flicking toward the wall of energy and the figures there, he waits.

ooc; what're the hostiles doing? do they have weapons out?

They all have weapons nearby, none have them out. The kobold is calmly sitting on the chair again.

Cheep looks askance at the seated 'investigator.' "That one be destroying me components. Most me other be used in my normal line of work."

Turning back to the small construct, Genithar hisses once again, 'Aldus, where in Xen'drick did you find this Koldoran item? Was anyone competing with you to find it? Who do YOU think stole it off the boat? Who in Morgrave hired you to find it? Quickly now, time is running out!'

"Damned if I recall, man! I be doing a lot of things. No idea who stole it, we just be hired by a Morgrave representative. No one was on about it or competing with us. How you be knowing about it? If it be my scrapbook, you be knowing more than I remember."

ooc; is a sense motive check appropriate/possible vs Aldus/Cheep? Also, has the rogue given the scroll to the kobold yet?

Nodding once with finality, the Wizard says in all earnestness to his comrades, "Prepare yourselves."

Still leaning on Corran, in the middle of the pack, Genithar says more loudly towards the hostilesm, his tone upbeat and hopeful, 'Gentlemen! I am pleased to report our employer has been able to answer your questions and concerns. I take it you have heard of the Koldoran Piece, yes?

ooc; Balnibar read it after the first battle, and then both he and Genithar read it after the workshop battle. Though maybe the group could go through it while they'd just been talking? or is it too late?

It has been read in detail. Any specific things you are looking for? There was no mention of who stole it (and Aldus does not have any additional clippings on the matter). It was a University expedition, sponsored by the Giantish Histories department.

what do you others think? Genithar would be searching for any mention of a Professor's name, someone else who was directly responsible for managing the expedition, or any theories on what the Schema actually did
