Shades of Gray

:) This is really encouraging me to get it. I was really looking for a good, straightforward campaign to run next year. I ran too many short campaigns or one-shots lately, and I want to begin something new, possibly in a new environment.

From what I've heard so far, I think I'll set SoG north of the CSIO in that wooden region of the Roglaras that is officially left mainly blank. (In the Wilderlands of High Fantasy, FYI.)

Maybe I'll get *Doom of Listonshire* as well... :)

How many Tome of Horrors monsters are statted out? Could I ask which they are?

  • Axe Beak
  • Beetle, Giant Death Watch
  • Boalisk
  • Brownie
  • Daemon - Hydrodaemon
  • Demon - Alu-Demon (with better artwork than in the ToH...)
  • Demon - Cambion
  • Dire Goat
  • Dragonfly, Giant
  • Frog, Monstrous
  • Froghemoth
  • Groaning Spirit
  • Hangman Tree
  • Huecuva
  • Jellyfish, Monstrous
  • Quickling
  • Tsathar
  • Vampire Rose
  • Witherweed

Thanks. I'm not sure I really want any of those other than the boalisk, dire goat, monstrous frog (why isn't that dire?) and vampire rose.

Nice to see them doing the reprints, though. I wish Coils of Set had some!

Michael (the author) DMed me, my daughter, and 4 or 5 others through parts of this at GenCon. Deadly. I hate Polar Worms. ;)

It was fun, though. Would have been better if it wasn't a Con game and the setting could have added more dimensions to the adventure, but just ran as straight up action, good tough fights are in store for anyone who plays it.
