Shadow Blend (Su): In any conditions other than full daylight, a shadow creature can disappear into the shadows, giving it total concealment. Artificial illumination, even a light or continual flame spell, does not negate this ability, but a daylight spell will.

1) Darkvision; does shadow blend allow someone to hide in shadows in such a way that something with Darkvision can't see them?

2) See invisibility: does shadow blend count as invisibility?

Interesting ability...

1> I would say that yes, this ability grants them total concealment against darkvision. There is no mention of low-light or other types of vision listed. Consider, Such a creature could be standing right next to a Continual Flame item and still use the ability.

2> Hard to say. Technically its concealment so by the semantic reading of the rules, no. However would it be game breaking to allow 'see invisible' to negate this hide in shadows deal? Probably not

1) Yes. The ability doesn't require the shadows conceal you from the target, just that they're present. It's a magic thing.

2) Yeah, I'd let See Invisibility counter it, just for simplicity's sake.
