My D&D 2024 campaign is legitimately making me wish I was running SD instead...

I thought I’d be running Ptolus in SD, but my players surprised the heck out of me and want me to run Dolmenwood (when OSE has not been successful before).

Some of those Dolmenwood ancestries are really compelling.

I am very curious if I will buy Dolmebwood. Really want to have it, but rather sceptical if it will ever see use at my table. And it just has so many pages, unsure of I would even read it all.
The adventures look top notch, though. Has anyone here used them for Shadowdark, were they a good fit?

There's a whole creator thread on the Arcane Library Discord about converting DW to SD and there's some awesome ideas and resources there. I think it's a good fit.

I wish Gavin would partner with the converters and release an official conversion. I have the current conversion PDF, but it’s not as comprehensive as it used to be if I understand them correctly because they got into some trouble.

Makes sense though. If the conversion is so complete it replaces the original books, the fans have crossed a line.

Hes not selling it, so I'm not that convinced, but I'm also fine with people protecting their hard won IP.

It is also totally valid for a creator to say "This is meant to be used with this system." They made it. They are the only ones that get to say what form it should be available in.
