Attempting to stay above the party by about 40' or so and trying to stay behind tree trunks as much as possible I will continue to fly forward to see what is making all that noise.

Trying to figure out what makes the noice, Slizz soon realize that this is not dogs of wolves. What they are however, she does not know.

As Bendith close on the snarling, the sounds suddenly disapear. A few moments later you hear some low, menacing growls followed by thrashing, coming towards you. Did they catch the scent? Judging by the wind, they shouldn't. By the sound they're rapidly closing on you.

Bendith is about 60 ft. away from the party at this point, invisible and airborne. Siam is about 20 ft behind Bendith, in the air and among the trees. The rest of you are standing on the trail, and can all hear the things approaching. They will reach you in about 2 rounds, so you might be able to throw up an ambush of some sort, perhaps.

Upon hearing the sudden silence and then the approaching whatever they are I will ask if anyone who has a ranged attack if they want a lift up into the trees. After I do that I will ready an action to attack the first thing that appears to be an enemy.
 

Slizz goes to the side of the trail to hide, arming her sling. To Torsak, she says, "I can grant a boon of great strength to you. Do you wish it? If he does, she casts a Bull's Strength on him.
 

Anderos will draw the heavy sword Karst, and stand with a tree on one side and he heavily armored Torask on the other he will place himself before the others. To Slizz: If he dosen't it will help me some, adding to the strength of my gauntlets. Knowing that at least some of the group has been noticed, he will ring his sword loudly against his buckler, and chant:
Virtues of old hold fast
Dark of night will not last
Veils of time will sooner part
Before the loss of a steadfast heart

Bendith settles quietly into a tree, still some distance from the party, that gives a good angle for sniping. His intention is to let whatever-it-is past, then surprise it from behind and cut off easy retreat when it engages the others...

"How many?" he whispers to Gravestrike, awaiting the report from the bow's Deathwatch.
 

Grymsnarl slinks to his belly in the undergrowth on the side of the road and settles in to wait for an opportunity to attack.

OOC: Hide +15; Preparing an action to dimension door behind whatever it is so he can sneak attack but he doesn't want to do so until he is sure he needs to.

"I would appreciate the help, yes." Torsak replies and draws his mace and places himself in the middle of the road, waiting for the coming creatures.

The snarling comes ever closer, and now you can faintly see a group of three or four dog.like creatures. They are way too big for regular dogs though, and there is something not quite right about the way they look. They are still about eighty feet away from the party, and twenty feet away from Bendith in the trees.

"How many?" Bendithwhispers to Gravestrike. In repsonse from the bow, he recieves a mental picture of four dog-like creatures running.

Siam remains in the trees, waiting for the enemy.

Inspire Courage: +1 morale on saving throws against charm and fear, +1 morale bonus on attacks and damage.

Grymsnarl: Hide in the underbrush beside the road.

Bendith: Readies bow and hides in bushes.
Anderos: Draw Karst and readies for the enemies.
Siam: Remains in the trees and gets ready for the enemies.
