It does but it was never sung. The sole purpose of the lyric is so that Roddenberry can copyright the entire music.

Well, if you read the Snopes entry, it seems the real reasons was so Roddenberry could cheat the composer out of half the royalties (by him claiming credit for half the song for the "lyrics").

Well, that IS the reason, as long he get money going his way.

I personally think it would've be great if he sings the theme to Enterprise instead.
