Just a thought, but given they are still legal & from a PHB, but not in the 2024 PHB, should they s

I'm not speaking for anyone else. Pointing out facts isn't speaking for anyone and it's a fact that many tables play that way. I'm also not forcing or even trying to force my way on anyone else.

Sorry but every single time you say “many people” and then try to link that to your preferences, you are trying to force your preferences on others by speaking for others.

So, not an option in the latest PHB.

OK, glad we could finally arrive at the only conclusion that makes sense.

But “not in the phb” doesn’t mean it’s not part of 5e.

Hadozee are not in the phb but I would say they are in 5e. I guess that artificer character was never part of 5e. Not were the many warforged characters I saw.

Wow. I’ve never actually played 5e DnD. And according to folks here I suspect almost no one ever has.

100%. If he is saying "everyone else" is anything with regard to 5e, he's wrong. Just here in the thread there are multiple folks, and the odds of every 5e player in the world that has an issue with this being in this very thread are practically nil.

Ah. Multiple being about three. Again it would be so much more productive if you only spoke for yourself instead of appealing to this entirely nebulous and unprovable “multiple” or “many”.

No, I'm not and you can't make me do that. What I'm saying has no impact whatsoever on the MANY tables that do allow stuff outside the edition they play. That's how the word "many" works. It deliberately does not include everybody, and so does not in any way try to force what I'm saying on those who are not in the many.

I wasn't counting, but I know it's more than just me, so multiple applies. Multiple = more than 1.

It would seem, at least of this poll, the ayes have it. Excluding the explicit "I'm not voting" votes, it's 96 in favor out of 189 cast. 50.8%. Not a resounding victory by any means, but still.

My favorite part about this whole thing is that the outrage over these two is a fraction of what apparated into existence for gnomes when they weren't in the initial core.
Gnome supremacy

I could write instead about how it does infer that half elves do indeed fill that gap between humans and elves so losing them isn't nearly as bad as losing a unique race and therefore they should be considered expendable for future editions, as both elves and humans will always exist

But we know the real reason is gnome supremacy
