  • Yes! That'd be way cool and all awesome-like! You are a God for thinking of this, DDK!

  • No, it's a bad idea. That'd just encourage the WotC staff to hang out here more and they smell!

I was reading the thread about WotC/TSR's history with some fascination and just noticed SKR chipping in; suddenly I was filled with a billion questions!

But then I remembered the Q&A thread with Gary Gygax here and wondered whether or not it would be possible to start such a thread here, but for ALL the WotC staff (or even former staff).

I'd love to ask SKR some questions as well as Ryan and Anthony and a whole host of others. I mean, I know they probably can't devote a whole hell of a lot of time here, but if a few of them would be willing, I reckon it'd make for a fantastic thread.

So I figured I'd try and get the rest of EN World on my side in order to encourage 'the powers that be' to enable this prestigious thread to be opened and to work. :)

Only one thing stops you, DDK: The willingness of the participants.

As far as I know, Morrus or any of the other mods and admins wouldn't be against it, as long as it doesn't violate any of the other rules (politeness, grandma content, no trolls or flames, etc. etc. ) and in fact, with minor exceptions the Q&A with Gary thread is a role model for such.

Gary has been exceedingly generous with his time in such participation, and I myself have been grateful for it, because I learned a lot myself out of it.

However, many of the WotC staff present and former do not have a lot of time to spare, and only post here when they can do so.

But if any of them are game, I don't see what would be wrong with it.

Hence this thread and poll. I didn't think there would be a problem with it, but I figured if I just started a thread and said, "This is where Sean and Anthony and Ryan and Monte HAVE to do a Q&A for us all" or even anything similar, it'd get about zero response. But if everyone is aware of it via a poll and votes and enough people vote for it to happen then something might happen BEHIND the scenes to actually make it happen... if you know what I mean... I thought it was a good idea although judging by the response so far, looks like no-one really cares. :(

No-one cares is the wrong way to put it.

They are busy people who both maintain their own boards. (where incidentally they have said that they don't have time to responce to everyone already and rely on participants to help people out with most matters)

Try MC here. And SKR here.

I think you read what I was trying to say in the wrong way. I was meaning noone in the sense of noone on these boards, not the WotC staff.

I still am a little surprised this poll hasn't received much attention. I thought it was a great idea...

I guess everybody who cares enough to ask, asks over on the individual boards. Oh well.
