Signatures in the Playing the Game forum: Would you like to keep them?

I like the sigs for numerous reasons, so I voted to keep them in. If your sig's too long, however, I agree that you should do as I (And many others) have done and post the sig in the 'sig link' thread, and just post a short sig with a link to it on your actual posts.

Alright all, I'm closing this poll. I suggested on the 4th that I'm going to do a test run on the signature free forum. We have enough that “don't care” or “want to see them go” to test the other side of the waters and see what people think of it.

I will of course address concerns for this with the aim of starting it on Monday.

You do not leave the poll up very long. You post it in the middle of a holiday weekend and close it before a person can have time to find it. Considering the work week really has only been yesterday and today, you did not leave much time.

Hmmm, I've always been in the opinion that one shouldn't let a game go untouched that long... but I do see your point. It truly came down to the fact that I didn't see the poll as a final step. I do think sometime with the signatures removed, so everyone sees both sides of things, followed by a final poll would be a more constructive use of everyone’s time.

To further add to this point. Not everyone has 24/7 access. Therefore one needs to prioritize one's time while they are online. The game one is in is 1st priority. If one is away due to a holiday, than one needs additional time to read a couple of days of posts, than spend additional time to craft a meaningful action. Second, one would look at the threads one has a stake/post/action in. Like before, there is much reading to digest.

Lastly, than one can go and search for additional threads in this forum. This being a new thread, one might not see it right away. However, being administrative it would be a priority when one looks for new threads, but new threads are not a priority.

In the future I ask, that future like minded threads be given time for all people to find them.

Jemal, it's a pleasure to see you back on the board. :D I’ve seen a number of your posts of late does this mean your PC problems are in the past? :D

[hijack]Aye, I managed to get my Roomie into online gaming, so I'm now sharing his comp for ENWorld until I save up enough to get one of my own. Don't know if you know but I moved outta my dad's house last year, that's why I dissapeared.

No need to worry about the hijack, it keeps the thread bumped. (I would sticky it but everyone says they never get read.)

Well, that sounds great, and it sounds like your doing pretty good. :D What type of online gaming is he doing? PbP or something else?
