Lookspring takes aim at the farthest goblin. He sends his shots zipping past the ears of the closest goblin, hoping to inspire some fear in the creature.

OOC2: Lookspring rapid shot vs goblin1 (1d20+8=17, 1d6+2=8, 1d20+8=17, 1d6+2=8)

Both shots hit, and gob1 falls lifeless.

The remaining goblin turns and runs back, screaming even more loudly something in a language you don't understand. This takes him out of view by the time Phoenix or Rowan can act.

[sblock= Listen DC20]Farther back, near where the goblin is headed, some other creatures are saying things. Nothing you can make out, but the sounds seem specifically articulated so as to be most likely some sort of language.[/sblock]

"Let's keep after them. Don't give them time to regroup." says Rowan. He stows his bow, picks back up his guissarme, and hurries forward.

Phoenix follows Rowan's lead, her mindblade glowing and pulsing with readiness for when they can find another target.

Looking morosely at the fallen bodies, Lookspring nevertheless decides to press on with the others. There will be time for looting later, though the bodies won't be as fresh... He wonders idly what a dark elf tastes like. He hurries after Phoenix and Rowan, trying to keep up. "These are being much easier to kill than invisible mushroom things!"

You all follow the fleeing goblin, and quickly run into... its friends, presumably. One more goblin and three more grimlocks coming at you.

The grimlock in the front pushes past the fleeing goblin, swinging a battleaxe into Phoenix' shoulder. Attack 20, 6 HP damage. his battleaxe raised and heading for Phoenix. His plan is foiled when Rowan (see below) trips him.

The fleeing goblin turns around, draws a goblin ranseur and faces you from behind its new bodyguard.

OOC: Rowan maybe should get an AoO on that Grimlock. He's next to Phoenix w/a 10 foot reach with his guisarme. He will attack that one with his normal attack, perhaps stepping back to do so. Or if others approach, he will try to get a swat at one of those. He wants to stay next to Phoenix, or close to it, so may be forced to drop his reach weapon soon.

Guisarme +9 2d4+4. I'd prefer you do the rolling for me for now, Orsal, though let me know if you'd prefer I do it. AC 18. He would use his improved trip, actually, for his attack. I guess I'll see how it looks on his turn.

... the grimlock is tripped, 10' in front of Phoenix. It immediately stands up, but doesn't get a chance to attack that turn. I'm amending the previous post since Phoenix isn't attacked after all.

Phoenix- F Elan Soulknife 6 (AC 20, HP 67/67, PP 6/6)

Phoenix throws her mindblade at the the grimlock after Rowan trips it. The strike is accurate, but the power behind it leaves something to be desired. Snarling in frustration, she instantly reforms the mindblade before concentrating for a moment to recharge its psychic strike energy. "You are correct about the ease of killing these vermin, Lookspring. I am surprised that my strike did not finish it off." Phoenix comments to her teammate.

Thrown keen mindblade at tripped grimlock + 1d8 psychic strike damage if it hits. (1d20+8=18, 1d8+4+1d8=6)

The goblin in the back throws a javelin at Rowan, but it lands in the ground at the latter's feet. Attack: 8.
