Six From Gate Pass - A War of the Burning Sky Campaign (3.5)

Arnir, your magically-empowered arrow cuts through the air with a horrible cry and plunges into the mounted archer's shoulder. The man almost flies from the saddle, so great is the impact. Its as if he was hit by a spear and not an arrow. However, he quickly regains his position and stays in the fight.

"Hang on Kirio, let me patch you up!" she calls as she draws her wand and uses it to cast cure light wounds on the bard.
"I thank you Torrent..." Kirio looks down at the bloody mess that is his shoulder, only to see the gaping wound and exposed bone replaced by new pink skin "that is much better indeed!"

With that Kirio steps forward to a boulder for cover (E4), and fires on the horsed archer, in the hopes of finishing what Arnir has so skillfully begun...

OOC: 2??? le sigh...

"By Tempus' thorny cock!" exclaims Alric as the arrows whiz by his head. Regardless of his being unmolested by the missile fire, he will not abide his comrades being peppered by them.

OOC: Alric moves to E10 and as a standard action he sets his shield upon the east facing edge of the square for total cover.

Watching Alric move forward and hide behind his tower shield, the man on the heavy warhorse gallops past the mounted archer and heads straight for Bannock (to G/H, 7/8).

Nearly a ton of horseflesh bears down on the warrior from Gate Pass and the man in grey plate stands in his stirrups and prepares to swing his greatsword. As he approaches, the heavy sounds of his massive horse's hooves is broken by his cry: "Surrender you fools! Just give us the case and none of you have to die!"

As soon as the horse and rider enter Bannock's threatened zone, the glaive strikes out in an opportunistic attack. As with Lars' previously fired bolt, the glaive is deflected about a foot away from the rider's chest in a burst of energy.

Unflinching from the strike of the polearm, the rider swings his greatsword so that the flat of the blade would connect with his target. The attack swings to high though, and Bannock is able to easily duck out of the way.

GM: Bannock, I'm just rolling your AOO to keep things moving (as we agreed as a group). You're locked into power attack for the full round (based on your attack against the horseman pursuing Hrimr), so thankfully there is no guesswork on my end :)

Lars, the rider with the greatsword is now aware of you.

Lars, your bolt skips of the side of the cliff and is lost somewhere in the foliage below.

Torrent, wand still in hand, moves to G5 calling: "Hold your ground Bannock, I'm right behind you with healing!" When she arrives, she uses it to cast cure light wounds.

Hrimr hears the cries of his allies and clashing of weapons back near the road and decides he needs to get back to the party. However, he needs to take care of this man hounding him in the bush.

He takes another step back, drops his sling and draws his pick. With his other open hand he summons another acid dart and flings it at his harasser.

OOC: 5 foot to K2

The arrow protruding from his hip causes Bannock to flinch slightly, but then, after he hears some shouting from Torrent, it seems to subside and he barely notices it. He looks up at the big-mouthed plate-clad rider, gives a crazy smile and a you-will-be-dealt-with-momentarily look, and sticks his tongue out after dodging the great sword.

He steps around the horseman, and as he does so swings his glaive around his head in a whirlwind, bringing the head down on the rider in front of Hrimr.

OOC: Stepping into I-6, attack on downed rider in front of Hrimr.
